Also, not sure if we care who wins between Wisconsin and OSU. Doesn't Wisconsin drop from consideration if they're bad enough? I'm really unsure of how to figure what helps our PWR

Ohio State has the worst uniforms in college hockey.
Somehow their uniforms are always ugly. I don't think I'm being biased here. I never see anyone with uniforms nearly as bad as theirs

I 100% disagree with you. Michigan's hockey helmets are the most Iconic helmets in the sport by far. There is a reason other schools have started to copy it.

So... is hockey both in college and the NHL like soccer in that they can change the widths of the ice rink depending on what they want?

College is now standardized on the NHL for new rinks, but so many college rinks are so old that you have a mish-mash of all sorts of rink sizes.
A lot of western teams play olympic, most everyone else is NHL. A few teams are oddballs. Like I think Harvard's rink is 197' long or something totally random like that
