Football Eve MGoEvent Information

Submitted by Seth on

For those of you joining us tonight I thought I'd put the relevant info at the top of the board. RSVP here because the more people who RSVP the more beer we buy at the last minute.

Your Host:

Matt Demorest of HomeSure Lending12802hsllogo

Matt paid for everything so make sure you find him and say hi, and if they're buying or refinancing a home mention that too.

Time:

6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EDT. Apologies to anyone who saw "7:00pm" on the Google Form--that was me not properly editing the background image.

Place:

327 E. HooverAnn Arbor—the same place as last year. It's the old Electronics store by the train tracks, first building after Elbel Field. It's the same place they host the Charity Tailgate during home games.

What to Wear:

If you ever take my advice about what to wear to anything you're responsible for the looks you get.

What to Eat:

Scratch BBQ and Catering—since Adam and David didn't get to try it.

What to Drink:

Beer from Wolverine Brewing. We'll have some domestic regular stuff too if your palette isn't so precise, or if you've already had enough Wolverine that your palette can't tell the difference anymore.

What we're doing:

Just hanging, mostly. There will be a short Q&A with the MGoBlog folk, and I'll have a Playstation 3 set up so we can play my and Dr. Sap's old Michigan teams against each other on NCAA 2014. If you play you MUST (I'm not kidding) play like that team. No modern read options with 1985 Harbaugh you jerk. If you play as 2016 you should load the "Dr. Blitz" defense and put him at 3rd cornerback, LOLB, and 2nd safety. This is important.

Why are we doing this?

What's FOOTBALL EVE? An annual MGoBlog get-together right before the season. It started in 2015 when Demorest and I were both asked to leave our respective houses before the Utah game because residential zones are not capable of handing that much nervous energy. Brian ghosts in with zero sleep because he's always behind on the previews. We have beer. It's very complicated. We're doing it Thursday night instead of Friday because so many people are going to Notre Dame.

See you tonight!

Are the local homeless welcome at this event? My girlfriend volunteers at the local Ann Arbor shelter(Delonis), and she says a bunch of them are huge Michigan fans(always wearing Michigan gear).
