"From Field to Obscurity": The Kelvin Grady Award

Submitted by BlueDog on
Has any other M athlete gone from seeing significant time to riding pine in TWO sports the way Kelvin Grady has? Perhaps it is time to name an award (see above) after him for pulling a Jimmy Hoffa in two sports. Nominees to replace Grady in the Beilein doghouse as the season progresses? Stu Douglass, for his aversion to making shots in the paint? LLP, if he loses confidence in his shot? Morris, if he doesnt start to show some offense?

Beilein has no choice but to play Morris. He's our future at PG, and nobody else is capable of running the point full-time. Laval Lucas-Perry needs to step it up, too. His blown wide-open layup against BC boggled my mind. But let's not bag on Grady too much. Not only is he a good enough athlete to play TWO high-profile sports at Michigan, but he earned significant time early on in his first football season in three years. He still has two years left to prove himself.

This isn't something we should be poking fun at under the circumstances, I have high hopes for Grady in the future. You could, however, keep the award and have the same intended recipients and simply change the name to someone who fits the bill. My nomination for the new name is the KO6em0 award. He has certainly gone from "the board to obscurity" faster than I have seen anyone do it. A week ago he was providing useful and relevant (albeit far too much) information and sat at over 1000 points. Over the past two days he suffered and epic meltdown, got the banhammer and sits at -225 points and dropping. Name an award after him to immortalize this man in the mgobooks.

If Grady moves to defense, he will never see the field again. Seriously, we're going to have about 10 corners on the roster next year. We don't need receivers to move to corner. Floyd Woolfolk Witty Jones Christian Talbott Avery Rogers Warren (maybe) Grimes (probably) Did I miss anyone?
