Eugene Smith is the #5 (I think) dual threat QB in the country. He's from Miramar, FL, and is currently committed to West Virginia. He was high on Michigan even when Michigan had two QB's committed, but he never pulled the trigger and opted for WVU. Now that things are shaky at QB for Michigan, we might try to get him back into the fold.

It's listed at 4.8, but considering a lot of players list a 4.6 when they actually run a 4.8, I think Smith's is probably just truthful. I've watched his highlight films, and he plays faster than that.

Look for Justin Turner to make a play for that number. Woodson was his favorite player. He also maybe awarded a 5th star after his preformance in the Army Bowl.

I'm not comparing JT to CWood but watching him play kinda reminds me of Woodson, going to be fun to watch him play the next few years.

I don't and can not find any information to support Mr. Smith coming to Michigan. I almost looked for a . yes . And then some gloating and basking and levitating at the end of this post. But I've been wrong before.

He's listed as a "soft verbal" on Rivals and still has medium interest in Michigan. This would not surprise me at all not that Beaver is gone. He was high on Michigan back when we had Beaver and Newsome.

Oh - and Adrian Witty is Denard Robinson's best friend or something. He has 3 D1 offers - us, Kansas State, and Florida International.

I really don't think either Stallworth or Michigan intends on Stallworth playing QB. He's pretty much a WR - Auburn's QB depth chart consisted of a kleenex and a puppy, and they didn't entertain the idea.

I don't know when we could expect a commitment, but from what I read: Mingo is extraordinarily unlikely to commit to Michigan. Hall is extremely unlikely to commit to Michigan. Montgomery is unlikely to commit to Michigan. There is something of a chance Robinson commits to Michigan (though it seems like we have to sell him on the fact that we'd give him a fair shake at QB) Travante Stallworth seems somewhat likely to end up at Michigan. Witty is probably 100% contingent upon Robinson. If we didn't get Robinson, I would imagine we would revoke our offer to Witty.
