Texas is slowly getting what it really wants.

Is that independence?  No, I don't think so.  What it wants is autonomy, not isolation.  It wants autonomy within a loose federation of weak and subservient members.  That is what it is getting more and more each day with the Big 12.

TX wants to call its own shots with football and TLN, but it still needs the national exposure and access a conference assures, as well as a place to park its non-football teams like ND has with the Big East.

Look for TX and the Big 12 to keep replacing fleeing members with new members willing to go along to get along.  TX will make sure that OK is taken care of so they don't try to leave.  Everyone else is replaceable.
