Oddly enough, in person it was much more of an orange rather than maize (will post pic I snapped if can get it working).
Nevertheless, never really expected to see the boys' colors on the Empire State Building in my lifetime to be honest.

I believe they lit it up in maize and blue when Michigan won the Big Ten basketball tournament held in MSG a few years ago.

My modest hope during the dark days, and then with Harbaugh's hiring, was that at least Michigan would become relevant nationally again.

And some may have noticed yesterday that I posted about the daily New Yorker humor feed featured a cartoon about the championship game, with a character in the cartoon showing a Michigan "M" on her sweatshirt.
