eh, let's stop talking about OSU for a while. Honestly, there are a few programs that have sold out to make sure they get the very best players. The difference between those programs and the next tier is quite obvious. Why even pay attention to them?

I get the hate against osu fuck osu but when people accuse them of cheating to justify why we can’t beat them I find it very pitiful. I haven’t heard a shred of evidence that suggests that osu cheats to get their players. Even with the whole chase young issue what evidence do you have that osu is legit responsible for any of it? I think it’s very weak on our part to suggest that they bend the rules and we don’t and that’s why we can’t beat them. I’m gonna get negged mostly by posters who can’t read unfortunately but I really would like to hear some good insight into this

i love the logic. I don’t agree with you therefore your a troll and I don’t have to give you any evidence to prove your wrong. Your accusing their program of cheating based on bullshit. Do I think it’s a coincidence? So I should just take your word for it? You woulda made a great lawyer

I do think there is probably something going on at Ohio State that is not above board, but, like you said, there is not a ton of conclusive evidence known at the time. There are always rumors, which may prove to be true or may show to be nothing more than hot air.
However, to me the biggest difference is the academic requirements associated with Michigan and Ohio State. Fields taking classes online versus having to attend classes is a difference. Does it make winning football games easier, I’d argue that it does.
I’d also argue that Ohio State is at a different tier than Michigan for reasons that are not related to cheating or academic differences. Ohio State has had a coherent plan for years, Michigan changes theirs every year or so. Ohio State has not gone through the upheaval in the past decade like Michigan. Granted, these are excuses, I want to see Michigan win too, but I have confidence that it will happen eventually.

I agree with your premise. Osu does do things that might be shady but you really don’t think Michigan wouldnt do the same? RR went over the a potted practice times back in 2008. I find it silly that we got punished for it but it is what it is. I just find it ridiculous that people believe they have to cheat to get better athletes than we do. Harbaugh is pulling all the stunts to get players to come here

OSU has a bagman network that Uofm does not. Why is this hard for anyone to admit ? It’s up to uofm to do something about it.
I suppose uofm can appeal to certain families that they actually make their kids go to class. Someone like people-Jones picked Michigan since his family cared about education. But in general a kid is gonna take that OSU bag.

OSU players in the past 15 years who have been CAUGHT taking extra benefits:

Troy Smith

Maurice Clarett

Devir Posey

Some other guy along with Devir Posey whose name I can't recall

Terell Pryor

Chase Young

There are probably a few more that I have forgotten; but, seriously, if you can't see the pattern for blatant disregard for the NCAA's rules on extra benefits for players, I really don't know what else to tell you.

I thought OSU was a “generational” team and Chase Young is the “best player” in America. Media hype was ridiculous.

Young did nothing the last 2 games of the season.

Agree. Best field yet. Any of the three can win. I believe the big unknown is Fields knee.  3 or 4 weeks ago I would have taken OSU but he hasn't looked or run the ball effectively in the last couple of weeks (Michigan and Wisconsin).  Has 3 weeks to somewhat heal up but still think it will be a problem
