I get that the Clippers get a trade exception and cash...but how do the Hawks benefit if they’re just going to cut him?

He did get his contract guaranteed earlier in the year, so there's that. I imagine he'll pop back up again somewhere, but I was hoping he'd get a chance at a ring. Maybe the Lakers wind up picking him up after he's cut?
