Derrick Walton Jr getting some playing time!

Career High 30 mins last night (6pts 3ast) vs the Twolves.

After barely playing for the first couple months, he has been getting quite a bit more run in December.

I don't follow the Clippers (or NBA regular season really) that closely. But, I do box score surf to check on "our" guys. So, I am not sure if the Clips are missing someone in front of him or if he is actually carving out a larger role. Either way, good for him!

Great to see him playing in "The Show".  More talented PGs haven't made it in the NBA - tribute to his persistence and work ethic.

We have been fortunate to have warriors at point guard over the last several years - and Derrick Walton showed Z how much work and passion you need to put in to get results, just like Z is showing DDJ what it takes to be successful.  Becomes a culture at point guard.

Keep it going, Derrick.

I believe Lou Williams was out last night so that might explain some of the PT. However, Walton was on the floor in a close game at the end and I don’t think Williams usually closes out games when defense is needed (he’s a horrible defender).  I think it’s more the clippers really need guard play and aren’t getting much out of Terrance Mann and  Jerome Robinson recently so they’re giving Walton a chance. He’s done about as well as you can expect. Had some nice defensive plays in crunch time. Forced Wiggins into a traveling violation and hit a FT.
