What? Sorry, but in my opinion, Evans is NOTHING like Ricky Powers.

Not even close.

First, Evans is not and never will be a power back. Evans is more of a slippery back, who intentionally runs sub 100% speed so he can short stride and make gains off of jukes/cuts rather than getting by people with pure speed. Evans is almost like a "south-paw" RB, in that he runs somewhat unorthodoxly, throwing off defenders instincts and pattern-recognition.

Notice the highlights when Evans runs straigh up a gapping running lane and takes it to the house, his running form/speed looks much different from when when he cuts and shakes while running for a 7-15 yard gain.

Barry Sanders also ran sub 100% effort in order to bounce laterally to get around tacklers (not comparing him to Sanders, just using him as an example of players who can't always burn defenders with speed and therefore bait defenders by approaching slightly slower, shifting to more advantageous angles against would-be tacklers).
