Carpe Diem- Happy Thanksgiving

As I work through the first losing season in my life time and find myself waiting for a chance at redemption next year… I want to share a moment of clarity… Carpe Diem! C.S. Lewis did a lot of work reminding us that the pain is a part of good. There is no life without death, there is no joy without pain. The love, the passion that I have for Michigan Football has to be more than the Wins and No Losses. I need to remind myself to enjoy the ride. And it’s been a great ride so far… I remember thinking during the Northwestern game…”so, this must bee what it’s like to be an IU or an NU fan… they go through this losing stuff all the time and still follow the team, the team, the team… how do I stack up as a fan in comparison? How far does my loyalty go? How great has it been to go through 40 years of the Bo era and to be a part of (though vicariously) the legendary success of the program?” I’ve got a new found respect for these fans and am challenged by this opportunity to work through adversity… seize the day! Don’t wait for next year. Don’t hope for something better. Be a part of what is. This is the greatest journey in all of football. To be a part of it, yes even the pain of this season is a privilege, it’s something special, I’m thankful for the ride. On this Thanksgiving Day I say thanks to everyone that has been a part of this journey called Michigan Football. Go Blue! Here are a couple of C.S.
