Brian attends an Auburn game and now they give up the spread! Coincidence?

TT fired his new OC Tony Franklin today, he has been on the job less then a year.

Head coach Tommy Tuberville said Wednesday he's not satisfied with progress being made on offense and felt it was best to make a change. He said he will take a larger role in working with the offense the rest of the season.

The impact Brian had on the offense and it's future direction was not mentioned in the article.  :)

I'm not sure what the purpose of firing Franklin midseason was.  Fine, you're not happy, then get on his ass for the rest of the year and think about firing him after it's all over.

But midseason? I wonder how recruits feel about Auburn now that they know that any of the coaches that they develop a bond with could be gone not just in a year or so, but in a game or so.

In general, it's also a stupid idea to make such a strong commitment to a spread offense, only to do a 180 six games later.  That's getting into Charlie Weis territory. Tuberville and Auburn will regret this, I believe.
