I love Braylon, but this is nothing more than a cop out on his part, IMO. He would have caught the same flak (albeit in a different manner) if he performed the way he did this season even if he played for the Lions.

Don't click on the link ... wow, talk about a completely biased blog entry. I'm sorry to have done so. Total garbage. I'll summarize. He comes out stating his conclusion (Braylon's statements are a political move to leave Cleveland) and makes his bias clear: "Actually, we love Cleveland fans. There’s no more loyal bunch, and no more deserving of something/anything to feel good about when it comes to their sports teams." Then proceeds to refer to everything Braylon said with a negative slant. He is accused of seeking media attention and movie deals, based on the following: 1) Because of Thom Darden, Browns fans obviously have no bad blood against Michigan players 2) Therefore, Braylon is wrong and Browns fans don't care about "the Michigan thing" 3) Therefore, Braylon is trying to "talk his way out of town" A flimsy argument, to be sure (thanks, interwebs... Accountability has been beaten senseless by an unruly, semi-educated herd of enabled jackasses. Many times over) Regarding the first premise: Has the nature of the M - OSU rivalry ... perhaps!! ... changed a bit since the 1970's? Perhaps degraded into a shouting and shit-flinging match between the worst of both fan bases? Maybe the worst of one side is the norm for the other, the Southrons from that polluted valley? Perhaps those smog-sucking valley primates worship an ideology based on "I would push my car across the border to avoid buying gas in Michigan," "I don't give a damn about the whole state of Michigan," and other cognitive detritus? Perhaps they have pulled an otherwise healthy rivalry into a quasi-nationalistic fanatic movement? Maybe ... just maybe ... Braylon has a point here. After all, he attests to being harassed, along with his family, around town. Despite not being perfect, he is the Browns best player. Whatever the intent, Braylon has every right to expect a bit more respect. And the notion that the harassment is due to his being a loyal and outspoken member of the Michigan tradition is totally reasonable -- to dispel it, one needs a bit more than "Ooooo Browns fans didn't care 30 years ago!" and a bit of hand-waving.
