You May Remember Me From Such Players As This abbreviation is used to compare an incoming recruit to help people understand the type of player he is or simply to put unreasonable expectations on a 17 year old.

You Mighty Rodriguez Maul F***eyes, Sparties, and PDomers. (the P is silent) Edit: just for the record, I hate it when people write fuckeyes or suckeyes, but the formal requirements of poetry command me.

I suppose I will get this out of the way in this post. I've seen Greg Robinson referred to as GERG a few times. What the heck is up with that? Someone care to enlighten me?

Brian's taken some flack before about his over-use of acronyms. The MGoBlog community has come to recognize them, and they're useful for shorthand, but it's damn hard to pick them all up. I was writing the numbers thing as a Diary -- had I known it would be my first appearance on the front page, I would have been more considerate of that. The reference was to all the Taylor Lewan talk over and during his recruitment -- some directly from Lewan -- that made him out to be our next Jake Long. Granted, when you're talking about an offensive lineman who went 1st overall in the NFL draft, expecting an exact replica only two years later is expecting waaaay too much.
