Billy Sauer
Excellent way for Sauer's career at Michigan to end with a 4-0 shutout against Ferris State (unless Hogan is pulled out for some reason in the CCHA or NCAA tourneys). While he has driven Michigan fans crazy on more than one occasion, you have to respect him for fighting it out every year, even when he lost the starting job during his senior year. Best of luck to him in the future.

And the team scored a few goals for him, too.
yeah man, 4 goals in each of billy's last 2 starts. it's almost like we can score when he's in net now
I respect him more than John Navarre, so take from that what you will. I will always remember him for Denver in 2008.
He's still a better goalie than Hogan. Do we not recall how he backstopped us to the number one ranking the vast majority of last year? We just need to beat the stage fright out of him and he'll be a stud. I would go with him the rest of the year. But I've been saying that since day one.
i would never ever put sauer in for the rest of the year ever never ever. since we settled on hogan as goalie we've been on fire
Sauer's last three games: 1-0 W @ BG, 4-2 W vs UNO (two impossible PP goals), 4-0 W vs Ferris. Billy is a better goalie...the team (and Billy's head) is just psycho.
3 games do not make a season. maybe they did turn the corner with sauer, but now is not the time to mess with goalies again. every game is pretty much a must win from here on out
Can't we just put Billy in net until the Frozen Four?
