Self inflicted torture. I will never watch that game again. We did almost nothing right and got absolutely smoked.
Actually I think we did alright for a moment or two in the first quarter.. then it went downhill. Gah, I even remember later when Sheridan goes out and Feagin comes in to the game.
I'm waiting until 5 to watch the Minnesota game anyways.
Forgot this was a Pam Ward game. Guess I'm watching it on mute...
Must find remote! I'd rather watch Lifetime.
Sheridan SUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKS. I'm not even kidding when I say this, I would do better than Sheridan. Thank God Tate and Denard are going to play next year.
in college, i'd be willing to bet money that Sheridan's ball would look like a laser compared to yours.
Well, considering I am in college now, and I played qb in hs, I think I'm better than walk on Sheridan. He has no athleticism whatsoever. Sheridan wouldn't play qb at any division 1 school had it not been for crazy circumstances.. He has the athleticism to be a bowler, not a qb.
Man so many plays missed by the QB. Feagin should have kept that one because the whole defense went after Shaw.
Please Tate read the play right on the zone option read.
Warren so intercepted that. What bullshit.
This was just sad... I watched the entire thing.
You know, it's the near-misses that really hurt so much.
More so than the Yakitty Sax.
In the 3rd Quarter with us down 21-7 we are driving (sort of).
Mathews gets open down the sideline and has Jenkins(?) beat by like 5-7 yards, there is NO ONE ELSE.
It is a touchdown if he is thrown to and catches the ball (and Mathews HAS good hands).
Sheridan throws . . .
and I wait . . .
and I wait . . .
and I get up and make a ham sandwich . . .
I come back and the ball comes down just as Jenkins has caught up to the slowing Mathews (who had stopped to tie his shoes)
. . . and the ball is batted out of his hands.
Those missed six points probably wouldn't have, but COULD have changed that game.
rinse and repeat.
Minor had a few nice carries... Outside of that it's unwatchable..
cheer up all, now it's michigan v minnesota aka the only game we played well the whole entire game. enjoy watching morgan trent's bubble screen obliterating skills
for Nick Sheridan. He played pretty well, seemed to play within the offense and did so effectively.
In think that this is more along the lines of what type of performance we can expect from Sheridan this year. His stats? 18 of 30 for 206 (6.8 YPA) 1 TD 0 INT and 8 rush for 33 yards (4.1 avg) There's nothing world class about those numbers but it's likely that it won't be on the QB if the offense stalls on the scale that it did last year. Even walk-on QBs have to get better in year two, right? I am aware that this could actually be his ceiling.
and Ringer just broke for MSU's second touchdown, but I forgot that Brandon Graham damn near caught up to him. He will be a monster this season
How did we lose this game? Big plays, that's how.
White walk-on WRs. They seemed to plague us on more than one occasion, iirc.
I read this post and thought of the ESPN portion of Adam Sandler's Waterboy
where they show UM wide receiver getting smashed on a slant
BIG TEN LEGEND JIM ABBOTT. Man, this guy just amazes me. I was friends with Jim in Flint and Ann Arbor....and still consider him a friend today. I was aware of his accomplishments, but to see them articulated in this documentary, is impressive...
