A lot to like...love how his eyes are up scanning the floor. A 6'7" sophomore, with those ball skills, eh!!! Clearly a high level prospect. What is his range at this time?

I haven't seen Kendall live, so just pure speculation here, but I'm assuming shooting is most likely the weakest part of his game based on the shot mechanics. He's obviously capable because he knocked down multiple jumpers in the clips within my article, but I certainly would not label him a shooter at this point.

Will also have a piece about another 2020 prospect within the next few days, under the radar kid that I'm a big fan of. Kid is criminally undervalued by the other services.

Five stars are obviously the most likely to be one and done, but not all of them are. But reality is that nearly all five stars are perceived as one and done material, and their respective recruitments drag on as such. Take a guy like Mitch McGary for example, he was never really NBA material, but it seemed like such a huge recruiting victory at the time because of the perception. Recruiting perception is all about what competition you're beating out as opposed to which prospect is actually going to be the more productive player.

I hope we're seriously going after Carlson and not just because of being around for Brown, Carlson has the perfect game for coach B and he's athletic and already has a college build.

Beilein's offense needs shooters. This roster has Poole, Livers and Nunez...are there others??? It is best to have two "shooters" on the floor at all times in this offense. The opposition has caught on to the offensive limitations of this team. What are the solutions here??? Where are the shots coming from with these recruiting targets???

The solution is better athletes and better defense...….which is essentially how we're winning games these days. Kudos to Coach Beilein for being able to adapt and succeed with multiple styles of play. I personally prefer this method, because outside shooting by nature, is high variance. Defense is generally reliable and low-variance.

They look to be "adequate", ppp scorers...and DeJulius too.  I agree with MattD that Beilein is tweaking his recruiting toward this type of player. To me this represents a change of offensive priority.

OT: Teams are increasingly taking Poole, Matthews and Brazdeikis away from this offense. Simpson and Teske will need to become, at least, 35% shooters from behind the arc and be willing assassins-if teams continue to employ the same defensive strategies against them.  If this does not happen then the coaches need to consider changing the personnel and playing time. There are good options on this roster. Otherwise, these kids need to return to being the "hunters".
