Key Stats: .392 batting average, 4 HR, 37 RBI, 37 runs, 14 doubles. .570 slugging percentage.
Acutally plays defense unlike those meh catchers from LSU.
Caught 22 base runners, only allowed 24 steals. That's a 52.1% success rate. That meh catcher at LSU has only thrown out 8 of 48. That's 83.3%. How can anyone rank him that highly, especially given his teams crappy performance this week.
Also worth noting, Michigan has taken 2 of 3 from OSU. It wasn't much of a fluke either with OSU's #2 and #3 pitchers pitching their brains out.
Yeah, lucky me. The one game I went to on the weekend was the one we lost! All in all, great weekend to take 2 of 3 from the Nuts. The kid who pitched on Saturday night for them was excellent I must say, but we battled our tails off and when we tied it in the 8th, I thought for sure we'd win it. I like the aggressiveness on the basepaths - lots of steals to get guys into scoring position.
FA - I think I saw that Katzman pitched Friday. Is that a permanent thing? It looks like he's earned it, but I thought Oaks was pretty good on Saturday night as well. I know he had been our Friday guy most of the season and been struggling. Maybe a switch to get him going against our opponent's #2 instead of their ace?
