BRIEF HIGHLIGHTS
RECRUITING
RR expects to have a full 25 man class for this year. All 7 early enrollees are attending class today. And as always he is recruiting to the bell.
DEFENSIVE COACH
Defensive coordinator, really no progress outside of some research, talked to a few guys on the phone.
*Needs to have chemistry amongst the staff and players. (right fit and personality) I think this is an indictment on Shafer. It now does seem like it was a clash of personalities.
OFF SEASON WORKOUTS
*Barwis off season program starts this Monday.
SCHEDULE FOR THE SEASON
*Still working on the open date of Oct 17th. And future dates for the upcoming years.

I hope Michigan can get some more "southern exposure" with some matchups against Georgia, Clemson, and why not matchup with good ole "West Virginyee" so that UM can honor former UM QBs coach and WVU HC Don Nehlen at halftime?

One concern about pre-conference games in the south is the oppressive heat. A big disadvantage for a northern school. Just remember back to the UCLA game where we melted in the second half in 2001 or 2002.
