In case you are too young to remember, Amanda is a decorated former player under Hutch. She was All-American twice and won Big Ten Player of the Year. She played on the US team winning the Olympic silver medal in Tokyo.

Yes!!!! My very sizable bet on this staffing decision proved to be a WINNER!
snark aside - I hope she is part of great success at Michigan and wish her well.

Huge shoes to fill - but this seems like the right person at the right time!

Great hire

would've guessed they would promote faith canfield who was a volunteer assistant the past two seasons, but this seems like a great hire and would help with recruiting.

Sounds like a great addition. Hoping the success for the program continues!

Jennifer Brundage remains the pitching coach (and now top assistant). She's been there 25 years. Chidester was a four-year starter in the Michigan infield, two-time conference player of the year, and graduated in 2011. This is her first coaching job, but she has extensive international experience as a player.

She coached at Duke several years ago.
Also, this never came out during all of the transfer talk (unless I missed it), but Sierra Kersten from Clarkston is no longer on the team. Google tells me she has landed at Liberty.
