2019 NC Suriano transfers to M wrestling
2019 national champ started at Penn State then wrestled at Rutgers. This is his final season. Great news for the wrestling team!

Can he play this season?

I would say 'yes', even in the old NCAA system, only basketball and football had you sit out a year, every other sport was able to transfer and participate right away.

Wow, huge news! Assuming he goes 133lbs it makes more sense now why Micic is going 141lbs. Awesome for those two to work together and get Ragusin the opportunity to work with him as well.

Heard he may be going 125 this year, which would be interesting with Spencer Lee in conference

It would be fun to see Michigan break through and win a title. It’s a tough climb to the top.

Interesting, a lot of people thought he was heading back to PSU. A lot of transfers, makes you worry. Also odd since the season already started.

He was always only going to wrestle in the second semester because he only cares about getting enough matches in to qualify for NCAAs and competing there. Amine and Micic are doing the same thing. I don't blame them. Duals mean nothing in the grand scheme of things since there is no team dual championships in either the Big 10 or NCAAs. It's really just practice for the NCAA tournament.
What are you worried about? These transfers are great for this year as Bormet is going all in with the tournament at LCA in March. I do wish recruiting was doing better than it has the last couple years though. Perhaps that's what you meant?
