Edit: nevermind. They played at Yost in 16-17

I guess I thought they were one of the CCHA teams I thought still hated us based on their absence from any schedule. Still haven't played Northern or Western since the CCHA split. Nor BGSU or Miami - though those are a little more understandable

If they indeed play at WMU, I would definitely look into going to Kalamazoo to watch that game.

From a west-sider's perspective, I think Michigan playing at Van Andel in Grand Rapids would draw a decent size crowd if not sell out depending on the opponent (obviously wouldn't sell out for UM vs. WMU, but UM vs. MSU would be great).

After this season, long-time Rangers fans (like me who remembers seeing the helmet-less Original Six in games at the old Madison Square Garden on Eighth Avenue and 50th Street) might have to become used to chants from opposing teams' fans reminding us that it has been 25 years since Mark Messier's "Guarantee" and "Matteau! Matteau! Matteau!" and 'The Waiting Is Over!"

SIDE NOTE FROM MSG: If, as it's being reported, Boston University’s David Quinn has become the Rangers head coach, as of now, that will mean that next season there will be eleven ex-U. S.-college coaches and players coaching in te NHL for the Carolina Hurricanes (Michigan State’s Rod Brind’Amour), Columbus Blue Jackets (Maine’s John Tortorella), Dallas Stars (Denver’s Jim Montgomery), Detroit Red Wings (Ferris State’s and Western Michigan’s Jeff Blashill), Nashville Predators (Westfield State’s Peter Laviolette), New Jersey Devils (BU’s John Hynes), New York Islanders (Lake Superior State’s Doug Weight), New York Rangers (BU’s Quinn), Philadelphia Flyers (North Dakota’s Dave Hakstol), Pittsburgh Penguins (BU’s Mike Sullivan).

As a fellow Rangers fan... it's hard to believe that it's been 25 years and also painful. Will we ever win another, it feels like a 'no'... the last few years, '12-'15 hurt because we were so close and now it feels like it couldn't be further away.

I do like the David Quinn hire, just hope that mangement does this smart and does this right!

Figure here is as good a place as any, but disappointingly for us Oliver Wahlstrom chose BC instead of Michigan. Oh well, still a chance of Jack Hughes deciding to play with his brother in college I suppose!

Excited for B1G Super Saturday again, that was an awesome time a couple years ago when we swept PSU in both hoops and hockey. Michigan fans showed very strong and I'm sure we will again.

WMU didn't keep UM off the schedule because they hated UM, WMU kept them off of the schedule because Red wouldn't come to kalamazoo.  He wanted 2 home games Murray said eff that and demanded a home and home.  Red wouldn't budge so we weren't playing.  I'm glad that Pearson is a little more level headed.
