Maybe the second half will tell a different story, but the box score and the first half video suggest that Wisconsin benefitted massively from a fortuitous fumble and a botched punt snap, leading to a deceptive final score.

I don't know if we'll roll. Wisconsin's defense appears to be outstanding. They were #2 in the country last year and they appear to still be going strong. They still haven't given up more than 17 points this year. I think they'll stuff our rushing attack and will make Speight beat them. It's gonna be a slugfest.

Wiscy is running a gameplan that is very similar to what we ran vs. OSU last year, but I think our guys are better at it. Spacing receivers in quarters coverage, deceiving running plays... I think Wiscy just gave everyone the blueprint to beat MSU, and it started in 2015.

Honestly, I don't think Wisconsin's offense was that big of a reason they won. They got 14 points off a fumble recovery and a botched punt recovery inside the five, and were outgained by MSU. They only ended up with 317 total yards, which is not impressive at all. The key is their defense, which held MSU to 6 points and 75 rushing yards with 4 turnovers.

Wisconsin had a 0 yard TD drive, a 5 yard TD drive and a 25 yard TD drive. All off of turnovers. This game was not about Wisconsin's offense. They were outgained by Sparty. It was all about the turnovers/mistakes by MSU. We should be fine if we don't turn the ball over 4 times like MSU did.

MSU got about half of their yardage in the 4th quarter. I imagine Wisconsin was playing a softer defense and a more conservative offense by that point. While it worked, the score could have been more lopsided. MSU was outgained by a lot while the outcome was still in doubt.

Even after the turnovers were made the offense failed to make plays during the defense returns. 30 is definitely a number that doesn't belong to the offense whatsoever.
After watching this game again (I was on the grill in between plays) I think it'll be something like 35-10 Michigan. Harbaugh has sooooo many weapons at this point.

:20 second mark: MSU brings 5, QB gets hurried/hit but makes DO throw to open receiver.
:40 second: DO Flare to WR at line of scrimmage
1:00 minute: MSU brings 5, QB steps up into sack/fumble/fumble lost
1:30 Swing to RB 2 yards behind QB, DO
1:45 MSU brings 6, QB Hurry DO complete to wide open receiver for big gain.
1:50 MSU brings 6, all day to throw; overthrows 1v1 WRvsCB route
2:30 MSU brings 5; all day to throw, DO to wide open slot WR slant.
2:40 MSU brings 6; PA pass to FB wide open and DO throw
2:44 MSU brings 4; PA quick slant threw behind WR; incomplete
2:54 MSU brings 4; all day, poor decision and poor throw into crowded middle of field
3:00 MSU brings 5; all day to throw; hits DO throw to wide open deep WR in-route
3:25 Goal Line PA Pass to wide open TE in the endzone, TD
4:05 MSU brings 6; QB hurry/hit; overthrows receiver
4:23 MSU brings 5; all day to throw to open WR slant-ish; DO throw
4:34 MSU brings 6; all day to throw to WIDE open WR drag route, DO throw
5:37 MSU brings 4; all day but nobody open, INC to WR over the middle
5:46 MSU brings 3; all day to throw; TE finds hole in zone and DO throw complete big gain
5:54 MSU brings 3; steps up into pressure for a sack/no gain
6:13 MSU brings 3; underthrows hail mary? that gets to the 10 yard line from the 44. End of Half.

RECAP

Gets hurried/hit 3 times, and stepped up into pressure 2 other times
4 incomplete due to bad throws or decisions
1 incomplete due to nobody being open towards end of half
1 incomplete (INT) on Hail Mary?
Every other throw (11 total) were dead on (DO) to basically WIDE OPEN targets. 2 of these were under pressure and he took a big hit.

Wisconsin simply outcoached MSU this half (and game). To have a wide open receiver this often, and your QB only gets hit 4 times on passing plays (1 sack+fumble, 1 sack, 2 hits after throws) is domination over an opposing defense.

Wisconsin is a very well coached team, this QB made all the right reads, and made every throw he was asked to make.

I don't think he'll be as comfortable in the pocket against Michigan, nor will there be so many open targets to throw to.

His ball floated a bit, but maybe it's because there was no defender nearby to break up the pass...

Did you gusy notice they used a lot of 3WR 4 WR sets? They don't look like a pro offense team they userd to be anymore. Our back up CB better to be prepared for that.
