Obligatory Introductory Post

I’m a “longtime” reader--at least since the Season of Infinite Pain (2005)—and a former part time contributor at The M Zone.  Work and family life has drastically cut into college football—and internet—time.  I’ve been in the U.S. Army for a couple of decades now and this whole college football blog thing is the only way I can stay in touch with my past life as a boy growing up in Michigan.  As much as I love Michigan football, last season—the Season of Unspeakable Horrors (2007) didn’t bother me too much since I was expecting the birth of a son.  He and I watched the glorious 2008 Capital One Bowl when he was all of six days old and is now Michigan’s official good luck charm.  He should be Michigan’s starting quarterback in 2028

I'm glad that you son's Michigan record is better than my two boys. My oldest was born 12/22/04, just a week before Vince Young chewed us up in Pasadena. My second (pictured on the left eating his first birthday cake) was born 1/1/07, just hours before USC crushed us in the second half in Pasadena. He'll protect your son's blind side from the left tackle spot in a few years...
