They did this a few years ago too. Last time it was a walk-on o-lineman (I want to sway Gunderson but I'm not sure) who wore a helmet cam during the run out of the tunnel.

09/29/2012 - 4:32pm No one stays that motionless

No one stays that motionless for that long when the wind is knocked out of them. That diagnosis is a load of bull. So much for protecting the players.

Alma in level 5? They were 2-8 last year in D3. Placing them in the same level as UW-Whitewater and Mount Union is just crazy.

11/29/2011 - 8:11pm Watched the Cass Tech game

Watched the Cass Tech game online after we beat Ohio. If Jayru Campbell looks like ha could be a high level D1 prospect.

See for yourself at http://www.mhsaa.tv/events/25638

11/26/2011 - 7:28pm Cass Tech's quaterback, Jayru

Cass Tech's quaterback, Jayru Campbell a freshman, is going to be a guy to watch in a few years. He tore up Catholic Central's secondary.

10/16/2011 - 8:23pm The problem with such a

The problem with such a system is that many personal fouls do not warrant such a reaction, pass interference for one. PI calls are often iffy and pose very little danger to the players. By making a rule causing additional penalties after two or three would drastically change games where teams run passing spreads. Such a rule would cause prevent defenses from playing agressive in pass coverage diluting the on the field product.

09/17/2011 - 5:53pm Tape

Part of the reason that the jerseys are ataying deformed is that the players are using two sided tape to keep the jersey stuck to the pads and make it harder for he other team to get ahold of them. Because of the tape when the jeseys are pulled they stay held in a streched fashion by that tape.

09/11/2011 - 7:11pm Be Cautious

The scout thread cites scoutexile, the same person who reported Danny Obrien commited last night. This could just be another false alarm.

08/14/2011 - 4:51pm No chance that it is Rawls.

No chance that it is Rawls. He is more of a bruiser than a pass catching third down type back.

08/13/2011 - 1:28pm Oklahoma

What about Oklahoma to the Big Ten. They are long time Nebraska rivals and would improve the on the field product as well, not to metion adding another massive fanbase.. The Big Ten also makes more sense geographically than the Pac-12.

This was posted already here: http://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/ot-charles-robinson-yahoo-sports-says-more-come with a more informative title.

02/07/2011 - 7:21pm I know that at some schools

I know that at some schools insurance operates similar to most high schools. The school will cover any medical expenses incurred due to participation in school sponsored athletics that are not covered by the individual athletes own health coverage.

01/01/2011 - 6:37pm Well there's the problem.

Well there's the problem. Rich Rod is really coaching the Spartans. That must be what happened to the offense today.

12/20/2010 - 6:14pm I also remember Will Campbell

I also remember Will Campbell enrolling early after comitting at the Army All-American game and he didn't seem to have any issues.

Nnice to see Kovacs getting some recognition.

11/28/2010 - 7:07pm The problem with this is that

The problem with this is that many of these coaches came into situations where the previous coach recruited well enough that the roster was not barren in areas. When RR got here there was very little quality depth in the defensive backfield and on top of that Mallet and a bunch of fifth-year offensive lineman (+Boren) bailed before spring workouts began. Meyer walked into a team full of highly rated Zook recuits that fit his system and Pelini went into a situation where he had to do nothing on the offensive side of the ball because Callahan's system had been fully established. If anything Saban's situation is the closest to Michigans because Saban had to rebuild after a bunch of NCAA sactions and had to rebuild the roster much the way RR has had to.

I agree but its too late to change the setup now. We'll just have to live with it for the next few years and hope there's something that happens to force the Big Ten to put us and OSU in the same division.

11/21/2010 - 10:45pm The Story

I just want to know what th story is behind the stuffed beaver. That was just too out of place not to have an interesting backstory.

11/21/2010 - 2:09pm The rumor that I heard was

The rumor that I heard was that there were clearinghouse issues but they were delt with before well before fall camp and he made it to campus just fine.

TGibsSmotherCover: "Ok so it says Tony Gibson. Assistant Head Coach (hells yeah suckas!) Defensive backs blah blah blah... Special Teams coo-sonofabitch."

Yay, he finally realized that the special teams coordinator. Does this mean we'll make one of those field goal thingys.

He's planning on enrolling early so he may be foregoing all-american games to be on campus during those times.

Texas, hands down. UofM finished with a respectable final record, Texas may not make a bowl game.

That was hagarup who got the personal foul. They may be hope for our special teams yet.

11/06/2010 - 11:12pm Roh

I know the defense made improvements but your giving GERG too much credit. Ealier in the week it sounded like Roh went to the coaches and pushed them to get moved back to d-line forcing some of the changes we saw in the front 7.

Its like your reading his mind

11/06/2010 - 4:17pm I agree

Those three played thier best game of the year and tackling today was surprsingly consistant.

11/05/2010 - 2:25pm More

I want a concrete image of what it will be like to win out this year.

11/03/2010 - 4:23pm Optimism

Honestly, the future records still seem overly optimistic to me but its good to see some of that after the string of DOOM! posts over the last few days.

11/03/2010 - 2:48pm Coaching

This is just another argument for the bad coaching camp. This is showing that GERG doesn't understad how to run the 3-3-5 and raises the possibility that if RR would just remove himself from the defensive scheme and allow GERG to run hs own scheme that he understands and has run before it may improve defensive play.

11/03/2010 - 2:38pm Good Idea

It sounds like a great idea but also have to consider that the service acadamy teams consist of smart, disciplined kids even before adding in the effect of the coaches.

11/03/2010 - 2:33pm Crowded

Just the fact that its getting crowded in the collage depresses me.

11/03/2010 - 12:47pm Optimism

<optimism>

Reinforces the "our defense is really freakin young" RR job defense excuse

</optimism>

11/03/2010 - 12:44pm Woot Woot

Gotta go with Fitzgerld or Ferentz.

11/03/2010 - 12:04pm Experts

All the experts also picked UM to beat PSU and we all know how that turned out.

11/03/2010 - 11:55am If you close your eyes and

If you close your eyes and click your heels together three times the injuries will go away. warren's eligebility and Cissoko will be released and become the second coming of Woodson.

11/03/2010 - 11:28am Wow

Wow... That is all

11/02/2010 - 8:54pm over/under

So whats the line on a more complete defensive implosion the rest of the way now.

11/02/2010 - 8:48pm Mascot

Maybe the mascot will get approved to play in our secondary.

11/02/2010 - 6:55pm Gardner

I don't think that Garder would leave. He has the build and arm for a pro-style QB while bringing the speed to the table as well. Any pro-style coach would be able to tweak the offense to his specific abilities. If anything, Gardner would be the best QB on the roster to use in a pro-styl setup.

11/02/2010 - 6:45pm Byron

The best bet for an immediate impact defensive player would be a juco like Byron Moore who comes in with 4 star status and college experience.

11/02/2010 - 6:42pm RR playing on defense my be

RR playing on defense my be why he understands how to run an offense that shreds defenses. He understands how to expliot the weaknesses in defenses but not how to remedy them.

11/02/2010 - 5:36pm Going outside of the RR tree

The thinking is that they might not hire Casteel in order to get someone from outside of RR's coaching tree. They may be looking for new blood in the program.

11/02/2010 - 5:34pm Defense

It's because they lik how our offense can put up insane numbers if prompted to and for some reason they may be thinking that the defense may click and force more than one punt in the game.
