This year in Michigan football has made me a realist. I no longer look at everything through maize colored glasses. I think you all need to take a step back and reevaluate your perception of the Michigan football program, vis a vis Michigan State. I hate to admit it as much as all of you, but as long as we remain mediocre, State will overtake us.
I hope I'm proven wrong, I really do. But I haven't seen anything in the last 6-7 years that gives me much hope.
Given the trajectory Michigan State is on, he's right. Coaches are going to start wanting to go there over Michigan. You can downvote me if you want, but if things keep heading in this direction, I suspect I will be proven right.

It's not so much that it's not good news for those involved. While it is technically against NCAA rules, if this goes as deep as it seems on the surface, the NCAA would lose all credibility if they banished all of these players.
This is the same NCAA that generates revenue from selling jerseys and the like with players' numbers on them. To then go and tell the players they can't sell their own signature because it violates amateurism rules is pure hypicrosy. The NCAA is going down if this goes beyond Manziel. I'm not saying it's OK to do something against the rules; it's not. But you are essentially allowing the NCAA to take revenue that would otherwise go to the players. Exploitation at its finest, imo.
I just watched Billy Madison yesterday for about half an hour, and this scene was in there. Chris Farley is the man. It's a very underrated comedy. I was really surprised that comcast only gave it 1*. It's at least 2.5* in my book.
I think that within the next 5-8 years, we'll see kickoffs removed entirely from all NFL games. When you have 22 massive people running full speed at each other from across the field, injuries are far worse than at the line of scrimmage. One of many changes I can see the NFL considering to make the game safer.
A story came out about Hernandez punching a bartender while at UF, and not having charges pressed against him. Could this be another case of the Urbz "requesting" silence from the victim?!
As has been pointed out, this most likely stems from the Hernandez thing, but has anyone actually said that Hernandez has tattoos that indicate gang affiliation? This is a serious question, not a rhetorical one. I'm geniunely curious.
Interestingly, the symbol for the Gangster's Disciples in Chicago is a 6-pointed star. So, what if one of these Buckeye 'experts' thought someone was in the GDs, but they were actually Jewish? Highly improbable, yes, but something to consider nonetheless. Don't ask me why I know these things. I'm embarrassed about all of the hours i've spent watching gang documentaries on the history channel
How is Florida #1? We dominated their frontcourt last year. Patric Young is mediocre and the rest (Casey Prather and Will Yuguette) are just atheltic but with no real skill. Maybe I'll concede on Yuguette being OK, but how they are #1 is beyond me...
While having Trey definitely helped, it was more the fact that everyone on our team was an excellent ball handler. Don't think that changes much with this year's squad.
Despite his struggles this year, people forget that JV could go on the mound any day and throw that thing-that-shall-not-be-named (avoiding the jinx here). He's still in a class by himself, and I think we'll be talking about him with the likes of Nolan Ryan by the time his career is over.
Miguel Cabrera is on a tear, and seemingly won't be stopping any time soon. Meanwhile, Chris Davis, who everyone couldn't stop talking about, is no longer in the top 5 for BA and is 0 for his last 14, and 1 for his last 24. Cabrera is just that much better than everyone else, plain and simple
Everyone tries to beat you down and throw you under the bus. The underdogs are always given the benefit of the doubt, no matter how unfathomable their actions. Given all of the criminal activity in which MSU athletes have been involved in the last couple of years, you would think this would get more national attention. But, alas, everyone wants to see them topple Michigan, no matter the consequences
Everytime I see Matt Millen's face, the only thing I can think of is 0-16. And him together with by far his worst pick as a GM sort of epitomizes the Detroit Lions of the last 10 years.

Absolutely. The value that he has brought to the university from his 3 titles more than justifies a much higher salary.
