Fort Fisher, near Wilmington…

Fort Fisher, near Wilmington, NC is a really cool site to visit, that's pretty unique from other Civil War sites I've visited. It's a fort that was used to protect boat access to Wilmington from the Union blockade. They have a museum that you can walk through and learn the story of the fort in chronological order, then you can go outside and walk around the fort, and they even have one spot where you can go up on top of the wall. It also looks kind of cool, because it was built out of sand, and now has grass growing all over it. It probably wouldn't take even a half a day to experience, but the area around it is a beach town, so you could spend some time on the beach, if you wanted to.

Another cool one is Lookout Mountain, near Chattanooga, TN. I would go to Cravens House, you can park there, and then there is a whole trail system there, and a bunch of monuments. When I was there, I was more just walking on the trail system, not experiencing a Civil War battle site, so I don't know quite so much about how well it presents the history. Lookout Mountain is a beautiful place, and Chattanooga is a fun city to visit.

I can't even imagine what the vibe is like on the basketball team. If you go by our record at halftime, we would be second in the Big Ten right now, with a double bye in the conference tournament all but locked up. But instead we're in last place.

Might want to shop around a little bit too. I noticed Fanatics has more stuff. I was disappointed that there isn't an adult sized maize hoodie on Mden, but Fanatics has a maize Jordan brand hoodie.

Just be warned, if you buy any Fanatics brand gear, that stuff is trash.

We've got Vegas on our side though, and the house always wins.

I actually think the…

I actually think the opposite. I think that their quarterback being hurt was just the most convenient excuse for leaving them out and putting Bama in. I don't think that they really care about the quarterback being out.

I'll be honest, I don't know…

I'll be honest, I don't know much about him, but the fact that he's saying that he's okay with not being a starter right away and is looking for somewhere that he can develop seems like a good sign.

Honestly, in limited action…

Honestly, in limited action he quietly had a really good game. The first punt was whatever, but his other two punts were a 71 yarder and a punt that was downed at the two yard line.

Did you hear about that…

Did you hear about that hockey player who got charged with manslaughter in the UK last week?

I like him calling our games…

I like him calling our games, but didn't know he does a show like this, listened to the whole thing and thought it was pretty good. His take on the suspension is pretty fair to everyone involved. I actually enjoyed the segment on the Texas A&M job a lot too. As someone who was alive, but not really aware of things in the early 90s, I guess I didn't realize how good Texas A&M was then, and that explains some of the hype that seems to constantly surround a program that has been middling for the past 25-30 years.

Because the TRO is an…

Because the TRO is an emergency order that lasts 14 days. At some point in those 14 days there will be a hearing on the request for injunctive relief, which will determine more long term whether the suspension will stick. They won't wait until the last possible day to have the hearing.

Yeah, and anyone on twitter…

Yeah, and anyone on twitter who is tweeting the "TRO lasts 14 days and The Game is in 14 days" line has lost most of their credibility with me. That's Henson and Shuster mostly.

Do we know what the UMass/PSU video referenced in this letter is? Is that something that has been discussed in the public sphere prior to this letter at all?

This report doesn't…

This report doesn't specifically say that OSU had our signs for The Game. But if Rutgers sent Purdue our signs, I'd be shocked if they didn't send them to OSU as well.

There was some hostility…

There was some hostility around Jabrill Peppers and Rashan Gary, back to back top national recruits from New Jersey coming to Michigan. Not that they would've gone to Rutgers if they didn't go to Michigan, but Rutgers fans seemed to harbor some resentment from that.

The NCAA "lack of…

The NCAA "lack of institutional control" rule has been well documented, but I wonder if the B1G has and/or would need a similar rule if they want to punish Harbaugh without evidence linking him to the sign stealing.

Also, a pretty significant portion of how this plays out will be if B1G frame a potential suspension as punishment or mitigating the damage caused by the sign stealing. If the B1G is punishing Harbaugh, then there's no real reason to jump the gun and suspend him before an investigation plays out. But if there is even just a little bit of evidence that he was involved in the sign stealing, I think they could make a  reasonable case that suspending him is necessary to prevent Michigan from having an unfair advantage in our remaining games. Obviously we know that our opponents can just change their signs, but I still think that would be a stronger argument for the B1G to make.

We're not going to talk…

We're not going to talk about Judy at all.

It makes sense that people…

It makes sense that people would see Corum as a better college player than a pro player due to his size. If he finishes the season strong enough to be a Heisman finalist, I'd guess he'll move up a little bit (it only takes one team to like you enough to draft you), but there will for sure be RBs drafted ahead of him who are worse in college than he is.

On a side note, as a Dolphins fan, I'd love to see him incorporated into Mike McDaniel's offense.

Whether this team has a…

Whether this team has a better season than the 2021 team will be determined in a few weeks.

Yep, and when that determination pretty much comes down to one game, it's very possible that this team could be better and have a worse season.

It's really hard to say. He…

It's really hard to say. He looks bigger than a WR or DB. They have some LBs and d-linemen with single digit numbers, so I think it's likely one of them, but it's impossible to tell from the video which one.

I think that the benefit for…

I think that the benefit for them of having two spots open outweighs the negative of having an extra team in the running.

I know it's a longshot either way, but it is better for Baylor (or any other bubble team) if Iowa beats Michigan.

And I think that a Baylor team who beats both Oklahoma teams and BYU would be ranked above an Iowa team whose best win other than Michigan is probably Penn State.

We'll either play the best…

We'll either play the best team from Ohio or the best OSU in that scenario.

Both of those statements are…

Both of those statements are true, but I think it's a net positive for Baylor. I think they're more likely to jump Michigan than be jumped by Iowa. Also, if that happens, you could end up with 3-seed Iowa and 4-seed Baylor.

Yeah, that analogy doesn't…

Yeah, that analogy doesn't make any sense.

Burger King is the best of the big fast food chains (McD's, Taco Bell, Wendy's etc.). If you count things like Chipotle and Five Guys as fast food, they're better, but there's no way to define fast food that doesn't put Burger King as a solid win over Maryland at worst.

His big game against UNC in the tournament might be the only thing keeping that from being true. He went down each year, except he went from 9.9 in 2020 to 10.0 in 2021.

Duncan Robinson his senior year and Livers in his Sophomore year were both pretty dependable coming off the bench.

FYI, you've go 45 minutes at PF there.

Also, I'm not sure why you would have 5 minutes with Johns at PF and Diabate C, and then 5 minutes Diabate at PF and Johns at C.

I generally agree with this though. With the exception that unless Dickinson cuts back on his fouls, there's no way he's going to be playing 30 minutes a game.

Michigan is a 3.5 point favorite on the line that I saw.

Let's not and say we did.

That's not surprising. I…

That's not surprising. I have a really hard time imagining how anyone can participate in any serious spring season and still fully participate in the pre-draft process. I'm wondering if there will be any exhibition games like the Shrine Bowl for underclassmen this Spring.

Justin Fields is either…

Justin Fields is either playing this fall or never playing college football again. Even if there is some sort of abbreviated spring season, I have a hard time picturing him (or any other player who is a lock for an early first round draft pick) playing in that.

Well, PSU and OSU are…

Well, PSU and OSU are alternating. So this would put our top annual game on opposite years from our second and third biggest annual games (no matter which order you put MSU and PSU in importance).

I mean, it seems like the timing was very deliberate by the person who posted it. It's not a coincidence that this came out fifteen months after he said it and it just so happens that it's at a time when racial tensions are extremely high.

I'm not sure how much fabric you need, but could you buy Michigan scrubs or pajama pants and make masks out of those? Could be easier than finding the fabric you're looking for.

I think anyone who says anything other than Amish Paradise or White and Nerdy is probably just trying to say something other than the obvious answers. There's a reason those are by far his biggest hits.

Having said that, I do love Trapped in the Drive-Thru. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHnTocdD7sk

Looks like we don't have many tiebreakers going in our favor.

This is nothing like Saban…

This is nothing like Saban in Miami.

Saban was fairly successful in Miami, but quit after his first losing season. As a Miami fan, I hate him for quitting and especially for lying about it. If he had stayed in Miami, I think he would have been successful, and Miami fans did not want him to leave.

This seems like a situation where the move never worked out, the FO and Beilein were never on the same page, nor were the players and Beilein, and the team regrets hiring him (it seems like Beilein may regret taking the job, too. But that's mostly speculation on my part).

I think they mean Simpson. I…

I think they mean Simpson. I strongly disagree with them.

I'm a Dolphins fan, and I'd…

I'm a Dolphins fan, and I'd be pretty happy with Miami drafting Tua at 5, but if another team wants to jump over us to draft him at 3 or 4, so be it. His injury history scares me enough that I wouldn't want to invest more than a single first round pick on him.

He went through that every…

He went through that every other year here at Michigan, and probably it probably would've happened again this year. He probably felt that if he went to the NBA, he could get to the point where his roster has more stability and it happens less often.

Yeah, I don't agree with…

Yeah, I don't agree with everyone in here saying that Franklin would be better off at FSU. The fact of the matter is, if PSU wins this weekend, they're probably going to jump up to third or fourth (even if they're fifth, they'll essentially be in the top four, because the SEC championship loser will fall behind them) and will probably make the playoffs.

If he goes to FSU, he's in the same division as Clemson, and has to play them every year. That's at least as tough of an ask as playing OSU every year. And he has to start from scratch to build FSU up to the level where they can compete with Clemson, whereas he already has PSU at that level. Michigan and the rest of the B1G is tougher than the rest of the ACC, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it gives more options to get better wins.

As far as prestige of the program, I'd consider PSU and FSU to be about equal.

Unless FSU comes in with a monster offer that PSU won't match (which is hard to imagine, considering how much they love him at PSU), or he's feeling restless and wants a change of scenery, I don't think it makes any sense for him to jump ship.
