Yep.... he's happy here

It might be a great city, but

It might be a great city, but the Superdome is a dump. I don't understand why they wasted millions on renovating it. New Orleans is one place where an outdoor stadium makes sense.

The retractable roof stadiums

The retractable roof stadiums are almost always closed because the seating bowl and field were designed as a completely indoor facility would be (without weatherproofing and drains). It's really a waste of money, unless you're a baseball team in Florida/Seattle and have to deal with too many rainouts.

Getting a chance to host the

Getting a chance to host the Super Bowl and Final Four was probably the biggest reason.

The new Sixers uni looks great

Yep... they've started working on the steel frame

Barclays sucks for hockey

Islanders made a mistake moving there... their attendance has been terrible so far (only sellout was the season opener against Chicago).

Tom Wilson is running things

Tom Wilson is running things for Olympia so I have no doubt it will happen. They just released more info today and it will end up being the most expensive arena ever built.

Other cities in the running

Other cities in the running for 2019: The Bay Area (Santa Clara), Charlotte, Houston, New Orleans and San Antonio. All of these other cities also submitted for at least one of the other two years.

If not Detroit, I hope it's Santa Clara. It would be great to see Harbaugh winning the national title in Jed York's stadium.

I have a good feeling about this...

I wouldn't get too excited

I wouldn't get too excited until Richt is gone. Looking at Georgia's schedule (Kentucky, Auburn, Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech), there's a good chance they win out and he keeps his job.

OSU's schedule is basically

OSU's schedule is basically the same. I could make an argument that Minnesota is a tougher game than Virginia Tech.

Turrible source

But can you imagine landing both Eason and Nauta....

There was no reason to pick a

There was no reason to pick a TE with the top 10 pick. Plus the Lions already had Pettigrew (another 1st round pick) when they drafted Ebron. Hindsight is 20/20, but they also passed on Aaron Donald, who would've been a nice replacement for Suh.

That's awesome!

That's awesome!

Mayhew is not the problem?

You can't be serious...

Forget about Ebron, Van Noy, Reiff, Broyles... the entire 2011 draft class is gone! Including Nick Fairley, Titus Young and Mikel Leshoure. That's three top 50 draft picks that are no longer on the team. You have to be a terrible GM to accomplish that.

Mayhew has done a pretty decent job with his free agent signings

So you place no blame on him for screwing up the cap and not being able to resign Suh? He replaced him with a broken down Ngata.

The only reason Mayhew got the job is because WCF was stupid enough to listen to Matt Millen (even after he fired him).

I'll take a franchise QB over

I'll take a franchise QB over a defensive player any day. Houston has Watt and Clowney and they still suck because they have no QB.

Speaking of quotes... (Steven Gerrard on playing in MLS)

"traveling to places like Ohio" lol

Rutgers scored 55 points

Rutgers scored 55 points against Indiana. I know they have a great passing game, but their defense can't stop anyone. RR and Hoke never lost to them and I don't expect that to change under Harbaugh.

Are we still doing the "Team

Are we still doing the "Team 100" thing?

I'm tired of the Outback and

I'm tired of the Outback and Citrus Bowl. If we can't get to the Rose Bowl, I prefer we play in a game that we have never played before (like the Peach or Cotton Bowl).

Doug Karsch said on the radio

Doug Karsch said on the radio today he's a little worried about the Indiana game in two weeks. Michigan's secondary has given up 300+ yards in their last two games and the Hoosiers get a ton of yards through the air.

Minnesota can actually play defense compared to Indiana. Even if the Hoosiers get a ton of yards through the air, all we need is a couple of redzone stops and our offense should be able to win the game. I mean, Rutgers put up 55 points on them.

I really hope it's not an

I really hope it's not an injury like Henne. The game in 2007 was basically a foregone conclusion because he couldn't throw downfield.

I've been saying this for

I've been saying this for years now, but everyone's life will be much easier if a catch is widely understood to be "he kept it off the ground." That's your job as the WR; Junior Hemingway didn't catch that pass in the 2011 Iowa game and Danny Coale didn't catch that pass in the Sugar Bowl and Minnesota didn't catch that pass on Saturday. Except he did because something something mumble grumble process.

I agree with Brian. If any part of the ball touches the ground, it should be incomplete.

I wish Hoke had done a better

I wish Hoke had done a better job recruitng a QB. I know Speight did a great job in this game, but I still don't have much confidence in our passing game. It's odd how different our situation is compared to sparty. Dantonio has pretty much had an NFL caliber QB (Hoyer, Cousins and now Cook) since he arrived in EL.

Jeter is da man

Why do you want the rumors to be true?

I want OSU at their best when we beat them. Last thing I want is for them to have an excuse or for Meyer to end up leaving before Harbaugh gets the Michigan machine rolling. I'm still mad that Tressel was fired and we didn't get any revenge against him.

where we will unveil the "Rivals Trophy" for the first time

I'm sure everyone will be excited to play for our version of the Illibuck trophy...

Only WCF would take the

Only WCF would take the advice of a person he was about to fire (that ran the team into the ground) and hire his assistant. Seriously, how does this happen?

In YDS/PLAY and YPG

Yes

TCF Stadium was built for the Gophers, while US Bank Stadium is being built for the Vikings.

This thing looks like a monstorsity!

I pull for teams that have

I pull for teams that have Michigan players, which is why I like the Patriots. If Brady wasn't on their team, I would be like 99% of the country and hate them lol

I actually listened to the

I actually listened to the postgame show today (mostly because I wanted to hear if people are still upset) and it felt like 2008 all over again. Call after call... "it starts at the top" "Fords should sell the team" "until people stop going to games, nothing will change" etc.

I was stupid enough to

I was stupid enough to believe that Mariucci would be the answer. He also never coached again, but might still be collecting a pay check from the Lions lol

It's too bad Beckmann retired....

Brandy is a great Michigan Man, but he's terrible at doing play by play.

Charles Woodson celebrates
I used to get upset, but now

I used to get upset, but now I've joined the clean house bandwagon... basically hoping they lose every game so change is made at the top. Until they get rid of Mayhew and Lewand, I will not support them.

Just look at his coaching

Just look at his coaching record in college. Brady Hoke has a better resume. Good coaches don't go 26-63 no matter what. He was lucky that Tony Dungy left him a stacked Colts team with Peyton Manning in his prime.

What if the Lions offered him

What if the Lions offered him full control? Bill Parcells left the Patriots after the Jets gave him complete control over football operations.

The problem with the Lions....no one knows who's in charge. If Martha Ford is running things, I don't see anything changing. Bill Ford needs to take over the team and finally fix this miss.

Woodson had a near

Woodson had a near interception (7:50 mark in the video) to ice the game, but the ball went through his hands and was caught by Mason. We have to be the most unluckiest team when it comes to balls being caught by the other team after a near INT.

Probably more than one....

Stafford leads the league with 11 INTs.

Hopefully they change them

Hopefully they change them for next year. Maybe make them smaller or get rid of the football and just use the snarling wolverine. Something like what Harbaugh used at Stanford with the axes http://www.elitefoot.com/ncaa/article/stickers/stanford.jpg
