I would be upset if Michigan ever hired Shaka. On top of being a system coach, you have to wonder why he hides in the mid-major instead of trying to compete at the highest level. He must not have much confidence in himself.
With the current class, they stand 2 scholarships over the limit for next year. I think I see one 5th year player who is pretty certain to not get the 5th year, but where will the other one come from?
I think they bank the last scholarship. They will be having a small class next year anyway. Like someone said earlier in the post, all the needs were met in this class.
I agree that skill players will eventually come. Good OL and QB play will start to make marginal RB's and WR's look good. I think once this happens, the top level guys will start coming.
If Michigan misses on Green, there will be a growing trend of missing on skill position players. I think part of this is our two best recruiters are DL coaches.
I think the other part is that skill position players like to see how they will be used on the field. Since our offense needed to adapt to Denard, these kids couldn't really see how the offense will look during a game situation.
It's a shame that season ticket holders have to absorb such a price increase. Maybe if they take seats away from the student section that never shows up and sell more tickets at normal price with a PSD this wouldn't happen like this.
This is a major problem in football recruiting. They really need to have an early signing period like they do in basketball. I feel like kids committ early so they hold a spot in the class. Then they continue to look around.
I think our O-Line was made up of mostly average to below average big ten linemen. Take out Lewan and the rest of them just are not that good.
I really don't feel great about the OL next year either. OL is the hardest position group to build depth in and I think it will take a a few more years. Next year we will have to rely on DG's ability to scramble out of the pocket.
I thought the problem with Borges is the strange playcalling at important times. Why keep trying to run up the middle after it was stopped all second half. Not to mention every play to the outside in the first half was effective. Where was the bootleg that we have seen the last few games that seems to work for short yardage.
Also, if anyone watched the O-Line this year, you could see the interior was beat on 75% of the plays.
O-Line is the hardest position group to grow depth and ours is in need of it! Lets hope it comes sooner than later.
Like someone else posted, it is good news that tickets are back in high demand. 100 points is high, but not stupid high. Like for ND road tickets you had to have 300 points.
I ws thinking the same thing. But I think many of these lineman play multiple positions. So you can plug them in where needed now and down the road. On top of that, you never know who will stay all 4 or 5 years.

Speaking of kids, one of my proudest moments as a father. My one year old daughter went to her bookshelf, picked out her "Learning about Michigan" book and brought it to me to read it to her. Classic!
The golf course usually lets in cars between 7:30 and 8:00. I think it depends on how long the line is but not sure. There are many satellite dishes out there. You should be fine

Hate the playcalling and very worried about the lack of offensive production in big games.
But it's not like we have loads of talent on the offensive side of the ball. OL and RB are two positions that we are very thin at.
