I'm in my 20's so wasn't privy to the staff make-up in the 90's. Whenever the BTN shows games from the 90's and shot of the sideline would appear I would always ask myself, "Did Mike Golic work on the staff in the 90's? Didn't he play for ND?"
QB depth problems????? RR was reluctant to RS Devin last year in spite of amazing denard must have looked running around in shorts in spring practice, meaning the 5 star hype was not just hype. Whether or not Tate makes is back on the team, I'm sure Hoke is smart enough to know you can't go into a season with only 2 QB's on the roster and should be able to sign SOMEBODY who will not have to play this year, and probably never will.
DB said in his announcing press conference that he had met hoke for TWELVE seconds (not TEN or FIFTEEN, exactly TWELVE) prior to his interview. He went on to say he determined the next coach based on TWELVE criteria points. 5 years, 12 million...not quite middle of the pack, but consistent to say the least, and certainly more than 20/week and a dozen doughnuts. Anyone else notice the Mike Golic resemblence??
seeing the postings end at 2:30 am and promptly resume just before sunrise makes me feel much better for updating myself before i get dressed for work as if anything has changed since i hibernated the laptop and said my prayers at midnight (LORD, save our program)
btw, anyone tell me how in the h-e double mgohockey sticks do i have negative mgopoints. I've only been a reader since july and a participant since we lost back to back at msu and iowa foreshadowing a similar end to an identical schedule as '09....but how did the powers that be notice my novice postings and apply these punitive measures?????

Can future Big Ten Calss Ranking include a breakdown of Stanford recruits? Probably will be mute since this is a so called dead period and our coaches fate will likely be determined before anymore updates. It just makes me sick to read these posts and sense things slipping away while the AD sits up in his office 'evaluating.' I mean sheesh, if it's Harbaugh, make it official.
I'm a glass half full kinda guy. I hate that the consensus is pretty much Coach Rod out, but Our D Line needs seeerious depth. Not gonna get excited about anymore youth in the secondary than there already is. But maybe seeing some top notch commits in the front 7 will help me enjoy the bowl game and ignore the sour feeling that the spread will likely be gone next season even though the NC game has featured at least one spread team in each of the last 6 year (both this year) and our's is just starting to look good. Gosh the more I write, the more I hate Dave Brandon!
It sucks that this talk is going on. Seriously, we would never have to worry about Coach Rod bolting for greener pastures. JH's brother is a successful NFL coach. I honestly dont see him being content, with whatever level of success he potentially could have, to stay here for a decade (or 2) knowing the Superbowl he never won his brother may well have won in the next several years. The worst part is half of our fan base (those that dont read this site) chooses to be oblivious to this fact.
Im just as sick of the speculation as anyone, but my heart sank with the Schefter opinion earlier. That said, if Harbaugh's comin, who ya bringin? Forcier, Warren...a Cali pipeline couldn't hurt, right? I'd hate to lose Dee and others, and I dont wanna see Devin at QB yet. He inherit a job that won a Heisman in its previous year. But that likely won't happen with a coaching change. I'm all for tradition, ours is beyond compare. As crazy as the Mad-Hatter is, he's not going to the NFL and he makes me more excited about orchestrating Denard and his slot ninjas than another season of transition with a still not so deep depth chart
What kind of f'n loser buckeye fan reads this blog and has a membership? Granted, this site is an ode to the academic reputation of the fine university depicted. And being acquainted or neighbors with dozens osu alums, the contrast, when it comes to thinking beyond surface layer, is stark. I mean I can understand wanting your mind stimulated... I've searched for a good buckeye blog...and there isn't one...but seriously go away
I've lived in Columbus most of my life. The radio hasn't been as incredible as it has been in the last 36 hours here since I can remember I started listening to the FAN!!
The barber shop patrons this morning insisted the penalties will be reduced. My feelings have gone from elation over Big Ten MVP #16 and TP insisting he would dominate in the spread, to uber joy knowing that whether by draft or sanction, the cocky kid from PA that spurned us will not win a championship at OSU (didn't value the B10 championships or wins over Michigan) and clearly could have struck a Heisman pose and cashed a fat first-round signing bonus while at the same time sparing us the misery of Threet/Sheridan and my man Lil Tate Tate
Of all the school of thought speculated upon for DB's decision process I will choose to subscribe to this one. Appeasing the traditional fan base by empathetical show dissatisfaction in his public posture lets them know 7 wins in year 3 will not be tolerated. I just hope DB ultimately appeases us who, despite 37-7, have been all in for RR from the beginning and have stomached the defense and watched the offense go from not being able to get a first down in 08 to number 6 in the nation with basically a redshirt freshman undersized qb
WVU only scored 9 points that game because Pat White didn't finish the game. Unlike at WVU, we can attract a 3 deep at quarterback that are all worthy of starting as underclassmen. Let's win the bowl game before we talk about 2011, who will start at QB next year. However, as a Rich Rod supporter, I like the presumptive nature of your statement that there will be a 2011 to determine his fate. Obviously, another mediocre season (i.e.7-8 wins with no wins against the big ten elite) and no amount of optimism can save him.
