This team made games out of acron and uconn. PSU lost to freakin indiana. Penn State is not a good team, nor is Michigan. Clock management issues? This game should not have been close. Bullheaded play calling lost this game not clock management.
Along with everyone else great job. I love the fact that Borges is willing to address certain complaints that fans have in the play calling the osu game. I cant even imagine sitting in a coaches room and having him draw up plays and having a intelegant thing to say after words. I would be is such fanboy mode. Again great work.
Its to bad sparty isnt coming to the big house this year. How awesome would it have been to play this as Coach D and the gang comes running out. It seems that we would have missed out on the best grumpy old guy face of all time.
I hear the pr lash back thing but I would hope a coach would always pick the best player no matter what the press thinks. As I think back to the spring game and ifthat is an accurate indication of the entire spring Denard was the better qb. I think I recall an interview with Denard done by urban last year when he mentioned recruiting Denard to fl to be is x player. Denard will go done as my all time " what if" player.
Knowing what the coaches know now would they put dg at wr or Denard at wr hybrid at the beginning of the year? Dumb hypothetical but I have been asking myself that whenever Denard is hurt or makes a bad throw. Also Jake Ryan is man ball on defense.
Gotta love the attitude of a kid who is willing to help the team even if he doesn’t get to play the position many predicated he would greatly excel at. I know the offense ran that jet sweep most of the time last year when Denard and Devin where on the field together, but you gotta think they will ramp it up this year and take full advantage of those two players abilities.
Man that is why I am so hesitant to ask anything on this board. I know I will get hammered for not being "ultra fan boy" and knowing every last detail about the team.
I am so excited to see what the fallout is with recruits. I am afraid that my hopes are to high though. Do we have any idea of what recruits are most venerable/likely to de-commit?
In all honesty I would be terrible at picking the music for those things. I would probably go with some wimpy artsy folk song that would make no sense for a violent OL prospect , because my attitude would be just because your a football player doesnt mean your music tastes have to be that of Jock Jams 2.0. But seriuosly Disturbed is just awful.
So I have to ask this. I like many others Im sure read the article on detnews about Demar Dorsey and him still being interested in Michigan. Any chance this coaching staff offers him even with his history being RR bagged?

Denard looked good in the first half. Dd he have barry sanders type runs? No. He did put the offense in a position to score. If he can keep that up we will be in good shape.

I know how we all "love" our detroit media outlets but today when practice was open for the media they said it was shaw, smith, and rawls getting the snaps with the first team.

For the win with a two point conversion sure, you let denard do what he does best. I would think that everyone who watched a game last year would have agreed that he ran the ball to much. (came out of the 10 games) Dont get me wrong I love seeing him make db's look silly but I want to know we can gain 2 yards with someone other then our quarter back when we need a first down.
DId you see the spring game? I was pleasently suprised by the run/pass option(is that even a term?). Borges said he watched tons of film from last year and now I think we get the best of both worlds, Wide open shot formations but power I on obvious running downs. Seriously who liked watching shot gun formations on the 3yrd line or on 3rdand 1?
I was wondering about him. Didnt seem to hear anything about him in all of spring practice. Sorry to see go. Highly touted kid seemed like tons of potential but he didn’t have a steady position coach since he has been on campus.

Is it just me or does it look like Denard has gotten bigger? In the video of the presser he seemed more stout to me.

I know dumb question but did Devin get a redshirt for the last year of RR? Is this still a possiblity if he didnt get one?
