Not to be a downer.....

"I just needed to go there and check out the business school, a place where I plan on spending the majority of my time because hopefully that will be my major."

Color me skeptical if he takes the time to review where 95% of the current roster is enrolled.   They're either in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts or School of Kinesiology.   Is there even a single player enrolled in the BBA program?   He could settle on Sports Management through Kinesiology.

Alcohol

DB was a db, but he was also publicly opposed to UM v MSU games at night due to safety concerns. I imagine alcohol was on the table at Ford Field.

Early but....

Kalis - ugh, yet probably rushed in his development like all offensive lineman on this roster.   Still, the NCAA is littered with kids 1-2 years out of HS producing at much higher levels.

Magnuson - injuries aside, seems like a player destined to play at a decent level.  Injured shoulders are not ideal for OL, especially at LT when you consistently reaching for speed rushers coming around the end.

Braden - early hype, but if he getting passed by the likes of early enrollee Mason Cole....

Bars - never heard of him.

Funchess - seems like the only plus player to me.   Anxious to see him as the true #1 and how he responds.

Chesson - capable pass catcher, but doesn't seem physical enough in run game.

Darboh - seemed like a potential break out player last year based on reports, but injuries are a part of the game and have set many highly rated kids back and will continue to do so for eternity.

Williams - meh.  outclassed by Butt and hopefully future recruits!   Should have went to Iowa and turned into an NFL LT.

Houma - whoma?

Johnson - reach late in the process.   Injuries not helping.

Norfleet - has he broken one yet?   No.

Unimpressed overall with these recruits.  Illustrates the struggle of the staff to develop talent.   At the same time, look at rivals in the league and they're not that impressive either.  An understatement to say that this season is huge.   These players are either going to make meaningful contributions or get passed up by younger players.   Considering the lack of upperclassmen, these men have no choice but to step up.   If not, feel free to transfer.

Losing Burke will hurt all season

Walton may be a solid player, but Burke was NPOY.    Burke created for everyone on that team.   Robinson and McGary were reliant on his passing and the space he created.   One could argue the only player who didn't need him was TH3.   I see the team in the top 3rd of the B1G, but dropping more games like PSU than last year.   Still have the talent to make a Sweet 16, but Walton will have to grow up in a hurry.  Nothing against Spike, but he had one game in the Tourney.   Also, if word is getting out that Levert may play some PG, that can't be good sign.  He didn't show that ability last year and would get eaten up by the top returning PG's in the B1G like Craft, Ferrell, Appling, etc.   Hope it doesn't mean Walton looks to struggle against high DI competition.

3 suspensions, but still on scholarship

Don't be suprised if he remains on scholarship that suspensions increase under Hoke.   College kids smoke weed.  If there is no threat to be booted even after getting busted 3 times, where's the threat?   Smoke up Johnny!

Two DUI's get you booted

while 3 positive tests for weed get you temporarily suspended because:

A. The coaches are concerned he may be an addict and it's not his fault.

B. When he apologizes, he's sincere.

C. There isn't another all league punter on the roster for next year.

D. All of the above

Denard is a spread QB

He completed passes to open receivers based on the threat of the run. He is now a quasi Pro Style QB, being asked to make different reads. Oh, and Alabama and ND are decent teams. Suprised a thread is needed to figure this out unless you just started watching games this year and are only looking at stats from the previous 2 seasons.

Dissapointed

is an understatement.    If the cupboard wasn't bare, he's off the team or done for 3-4 games at a minimum.   Hoke is no better than his counterparts.    Just look at the run defense and you have all the reasons Hoke needs.   Oooooohhhhh, he ran some stairs and woke up early and served soup to those less fortunate.   Give me a break.    Let's hope theft is not more common for Michigan Men going forward, not to mention driving drunk.   Oh, wait he had to boot a kid off last year.   That lesson hit home too.

UM's depth at RB

makes it a no brainer.   No offense to Rawls, Norfleet, Hayes, etc.  None of them have shown anything yet and Fitz will be gone soon enough.   Similar to OL recruiting.   Sure it's Michigan Fergodsakes, but we cleaned up the last two years in OH, MI and IL because of depth.   If Hoke continues to dominate on the OL recruiting year after year, I'd be suprised.
