"Not in the same realm" is a bit much.
Harvard / Wharton / Stanford GSB / Booth / Kellogg are top 5, and any ranking that says otherwise is likely looking to grab a headline, but the group of Ross / Tuck / Sloan / Haas / Columbia / Yale isn't that far behind, and typically has access to the same recruiters.

|03/13/2019 - 4:13pm||Depends on if you are…||
Depends on if you are planning on staying at your current company or if you have other career goals. I'd care more about rankings and reputation if you're looking to make a move at some point. By rankings, its Ross->Mendoza->>>Broad (less of drop if you're in Supply Chain, but don't think you are). Ross has a solid name brand internationally, and Mendoza's largely carried by their strong undergrad program, but is still a decent program. Broad is respected here in Michigan, but outside of the state their's not really a strong network or any name recognition.
I would put in a plug for going full time, but that's not for everyone based on career / family commitments.

If you're looking to use your MBA to break into top tier consulting, high tech or private equity, any old top 50 program isn't going to do the trick. The relative value of your degree vs. your overall experience certainly decreases over time, but its a very important factor early on after you graduate
|03/12/2019 - 1:36pm||It's almost not worth…||
It's almost not worth commenting on this based on how wrong you are, but here goes.
1.) Fleets aren't going to change overnight to 50% electric. it's going to happen over time (most models say that by 2030, ~30% of new vehicles will be electric), so the grid will adapt
2.) Right now, the Levelized Cost of Energy for running renewables is at or below parity with natural gas, and below coal. So, no, moving to renewables will not jack up your electric bill.
3.) In terms of environmental impact, electric cars aren't perfect (as noted below), but they are substantially better than ICE

Everything is relative, so YMMV. I did the commute from A2 to detroit everyday for 2 years. It’s about an hour in, and 75 minutes home, with weather being a variable that could add tons of time. For me, it was worth living in Ann Arbor. Was also coming from Chicago, so it was a lower cost of living and way less traffic.

Polar opposite. If you're vying for one of those 3 autobids (with a loss in conference since you didn't win), you're certainly going to want to have a great non-con win on your resume

If Alabama loses to LSU and doesn't make the title game, they'll likely have 1 win against a top 25 team. As good as they are, that's not going to be a resume that looks that great on paper.
|10/01/2018 - 11:26am||I"m not one to typically…||
I"m not one to typically complain about Delaney and the B1G, but letting the networks dictate the start time for games, and letting them delay until a week before the game is such a big "F-you" to the fans. People sometimes need to make plans in advance (for us, it's a babysitter) and not being able to plan is pretty infuriating.
If you're going to give the control of start times to the networks, at least have backbone enough to make them announce all the times in August (or earlier).

It’s a 7AM local time start for Hawaii and they’re flying how far to get there? West coast teams are notoriously terrible playing at 1pm in the pros. Now you have a team from further west playing earlier in the day against a triple option offense. Like Army for those reasons.

I guess this is unpopular, but Chop House is mediocre, especially for the price. For steak, I'd go with Knights or even Ruth's Chris.
In general, Pacific Rim and Taste Kitchen are our favorites. West End Grille is pretty good as well. Heading to dessous tonight, which we're excited about because anything Eve touches is typically great.

I have a brother who has been a paramedic for 15 years: have never heard anything remotely like that. I also have a father who has had a liver and kidney transplant.
I hope you never have to experience the agony of waiting for a loved one to get a much needed organ. So many folks die waiting which could be avoided Ignacio people checked one box when they were 16. I’ve also never heard of anyone who wasn’t listed as an organ donor ever turn down one when they needed it.

Yes, it has every channel that Michigan plays on.
|04/12/2018 - 4:06pm||I can't see how that's true||
Most of the Internt TV services are $35-$40. Many have DVRs, some that are even better than cable (See Youtube TV with unlimited DVR). That's still worlds cheaper than cable. Unles syou didn't have internet at your house, which I guess could be a thing.

I have it here in Ann Arbor. It's amazing. Has every channel Michigna woudl ever be on (ABC/FOX/ESPN/ESPN2/BTN/FS1), has an unlimited DVR, and allows you to have multiple accounts. For $35/ month, it's a steal compared to what I was getting with DirecTV

Blue tractor has a ton of TVs and shouldn’t be overwhelming. Grizzly Peak and Jolly Pumpkin might work, but I can’t remember how good the sight lines to the TVs are in there.
Fraser’s is an option, but that’s a bit more townie / dive, but at least won’t be overrun with students (the burgers there are great too)

It's an account with ~110 followers quote tweeting an account with ~70 followers. The news might not be wrong, but they essentially have 0 credibility and are likely using a story they assume will be proven right to take credit for breaking a story they have no inside info about.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills reading the comments here and in the daily article. Class isn’t ending “early”. It’s ending on time. On time just now happens to be on the 50s. I get it’s a unique tradition (which I happily adopted while in school), but people saying it’s going to cause issues don’t understand math.
I mean, what seems easier to grasp:
|02/12/2018 - 10:26am||bigest problem||
you named the ONLY two tournament teams they beat, and they won't have an opportunity to beat another one until the B1G tourney. ND tanking hurts them, especially sincew they beat them when Colson was still playing.

You're the head coach, shouldn't be a problem at all.
But seriously, if you call the ticket office they should be able to give you an idea. I don't think they can guarentee anything, but the 20 priority points for being an alum should go along way.

|12/04/2017 - 10:38pm||Stop blaming the refs||
It’s getting really tiresome seeing blogs / posts / tweets blaming officials after almost every loss in multiple sports. There is no big ten conspiracy against Michigan.
The officials aren’t perfect, and in some cases it’s worse than that. But people need to take their tinfoil hats off and stop their bitching.
|12/04/2017 - 9:00pm||And?||
That’s clearly what made us go cold from the field.
|11/16/2017 - 1:12pm||Best case||
I think that’s the best case, though may be farther off. People would feel more comfortable letting their children play if it was seen in the same vain as a broken arm or ligament damage. If it’s something that can be diagnosed, and more or less cured / damage reversed, it’s way less scary
