This is eloquent and beautiful writing, and honestly I’ve never sat and pondered the anthropological aspects of this rivalry. I’m not sure if I agree about the absurdity of holding one person accountable for a loss though. I will admit that it surely feels like Jim has been incredibly unlucky in his tenure at times. At some point though you have wonder what he needs to do to decrease the chance of having a game left up to chance/luck/fate. Historically if the ball doesn’t bounce your way, you should probably do everything you can (prepare, recruit, scheme etc.) to avoid chance situations completely, or at least significantly increase the odds in your favor.
Completely anecdotal as I live in Boston, but I’ve yet to come across a person that is anti-Brady. Everyone saw the writing on the wall with the lack of offensive talent in 2019 and zero cap space to rectify it in 2020. No way was Brady going to spend his last couple years having an aging Jules as his #1.

Politics aside- Tommy has kind of the wildest coaching career. This is a guy who beat Alabama 6 straight times, and also has lost to a Bob Diaco coached Uconn team.
The headline kind of already answers the question, right?. As OC's become more data driven on their play calls they are less apt to call low percentage plays.

Honestly ive bought into the Gattis hype and i think we have the horses to be a top 15 unit. Biggest concern/question for me will be what we will do if we run into a game where we have tough weather conditions.
Oh wow thanks for the info. Hoping he has a speedy recovery, it definitely has to be weird to not see him on the sidelines this year. My HS only scrimmaged them in 7on7s (we were a D5 school) he always seemed like genuinely good guy/coach. Definitely fiery, but good.
