Did you just say that your wife married a child?

Where is Dommanic Ingerson?

He's the one former player that actually has made news going for a swim.

Good memories

I watched that game with Pea-Tear Gryphon and some others out in CA (Sharkeez in Manhattan Beach maybe?).  After the 2nd period some mouth breather that was rooting for Denver just to be different walked over to our table, said something along the line of "too bad you guys had to lose", and stands there with a smirk on his face.  We all looked at him like he's a dumbass, which he was.  We remind him that there are actually 3 periods in hockey and we'd talk after the game.  After we win he ended up taking off for some reason and the C-YA chant followed him out the door.

Yes

Just think of fumble recoveries.  The play isn't immediately blown dead when the defender picks up the ball, right?  Same concept - the ball can be touching the ground and it doesn't matter if the player isn't down as well.

Not quite as innocent as you portray “The allegations are true,” Clemons said. “Nothing is fabricated or exaggerated in that story. I was there on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. depending on if guys needed treatment. You were there daylight to nighttime.” “On Sunday, it was lifting, film, dinner and practice,” Clemons told Schad. “I usually got out around 10:20. I truly don’t want to be associated with the program back there. But I am going to help benefit my teammates back there by speaking and giving testimony.” The first part of the quote can be written off as glossing over countable versus non-countable hours. The second quote is where he really loses a lot of M fans in my opinion.
Guinness

I'll be having some pints at a pub in Galway, Ireland in an hour or two.  I'm in the middle of a two week vacation in Ireland.  Sorry if this makes your day even worse.

Just give me the W

I'd rather have an ugly win than an amazing, feel good loss.  You can be proud of how you played, but I can't imagine any athlete being satisfied with a loss.

Not sure

This is Sangria's first time hosting the M alumni crowd, so there might be some hiccups in their service.  South hosted last year so they should have things down pretty well.  Both places will have plenty of TVs and good viewing of the game.

You might want to base your decision on what you're going to be doing before/after.  South is 2-3 miles inland and there isn't a whole lot to do right there on Wilshire.  Sangria is right on the Pier in Hermosa and it'd be really easy to hit up the beach/people watch for a while.  If you're just going for the game I'd just go wherever is more convenient for you.

Two spots on the west side

As you said, South in Santa Monica is one of the official alumni bars.  This year they are also having another location on the Hermosa Pier at Sangria.

I'm wondering if World War Z will ever be made

I think it's been pushed back once or twice.  Great book though.

Have you read Day by Day Armageddon (and its sequel)?  I liked the first one better than the second, but they're both excellent zombie novels.  I'm looking forward to seeing how he takes the series in the future.  There has to be a follow-up novel with how it left off.

Oh, and I can't wait for Walking Dead.  My wife and I have been looking forward to it for months.  Yes, I married a zombie fan, so I've got that going for me.

Banged up He's still recovering from a season-ending knee injury that he sustained last year. From what I've read they're just working him in slowly at nickel until his knee regains its strength.
How's this http://www.sports-logos-screensavers.com/user/Michigan_Wolverines_Helme…
No mention of Eric Mayes? Mayes was a walk-on after tranferring from Xavier. He was a captain in '97. There's a great write-up on him here: http://aceofsports.blogspot.com/2008/07/where-you-at-dr-eric-mayes-edit…
How do you rate kickers? Rivas was the 2nd best kicker ever at Michigan. What do you consider "special"?
He didn't play baseball His three sports were basketball, football, and track.
Not supposed to happen It's pretty hard to enforce, but people conected to a university aren't supposed to try to sway recruits one way or the other. USC got into a bit of hot water with Joe McKnight's recruitment. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/recruiting/news/story?id=2759774
