Live in Iowa and for the most part, a lot of the fans are clowns. Don't get me wrong, they are a ridiculously loyal bunch, some are just bat shit crazy. I have a lot of friends that are Iowa fans and they think he sucks as a QB because he mainly threw 5 yard check downs. Calling a guy soft or saying he doesn't have fight in him is crazy since he will be competing against 19 other guys for his position. All of whom would start for the Hawkeye. Not to mention he's a grad transfer and transferring to a far better school
It's just ESPN, since they got the exclusive rights to the SEC, it's SEC this and SEC that. Players from the SEC are "Amazing" or "Smart" but people from Michigan and other schools are "tough" or have "heart". Even during the UA All American Game yesterday, it was "so and so going to Alabama with the tackle" Every SEC commit that did anything got a shout out. Hand even had like a 5 minute special on him and he's not even the best player at his position. They mentioned Peppers quite a bit too, but nothing on the SEC's level. And also don't forget that the SEC really only has like 3 good teams, then they play NOONE else. Bama played almost as many FCS opponents as they did ranked opponents.
Looking for a pair of tickets to the game @ Iowa in November. DIEHARD fan living in Iowa, so hard to come by tickets that aren't in the Iowa Section. Also will be looking for Basketball tickets @Iowa and @Iowa State. Won't be able to make it up to Ann Arbor this year. NOT HAPPY ABOUT IT. I actually live in Iowa myself and am working on getting tickets as well. There are quite a few on StubHub but not cheap. If you're willing to wait, prices will go WAY down if (and by if, i mean when) Iowa starts out cold and loses a few games. Craigslist is always a good bet but watch out for the student section seats...
