In 2001, Texas was again snake bitten by the “rematch” when they beat Colorado convincingly 41-7 in the regular season but then had to face the Buffaloes again in the championship game and this time lost 39-37. This just about proves why having a rematch sucks... you destroy someone 41-7 and yet you don't win the conference because you lost to them by two in the tittle game. Who gets the bragging rights? We killed you the first time but we lost when it really counted... DUMB!
