I think he was pretty embarrassed on a couple of replays where he focused on the wrong guy, or even circled the wrong guy on one of them, which may have prompted him to not talk as much. Mowins was fine.

10/27/2011 - 8:43am This one is usually spelled out but not always

YMRMFSPA: you might remember me from such players as

10/26/2011 - 7:53pm TerBush

So this is probably more a statement towards my avoidance of all Purdue games this season and various racial stereotypes but am I the only one who is surprised that Caleb TerBush is white?

I, for one, would nominate him for the Reggie Cleveland all-stars

10/19/2011 - 10:17am Illinois

Their record is 5-1, no? Seems like you have OSU's record for them, which is fine by me, I like to see it as much as I can :).

09/20/2011 - 4:53am Jareth Glanda?

My best guess is that Heiko misheard and Hoke was talking about Jareth Glanda the short snapper, which makes more sense

08/16/2011 - 10:02am Thank you

Stuck in a faraway land, any reliable stream would be appreciated :)

04/26/2011 - 6:36pm Less so

but wouldn't the Grizzlies be even scarier this year if they hadn't drafted Hasheem "D-League" Thabeet at #2? Granted, at this point, the 2009 NBA Draft looks to have been a weak one, but still...

04/26/2011 - 1:58pm Agreed

The MLB has the least competitive balance, but it's not as skewed as some people tend to think.

My argument was mainly that there are less upside and more downside than people may realize to a cap. Though competitive balance is the clear upside (and I agree with your European soccer argument, although the Europa Cup is a 100 times as big a deal as the NIT, which I would compare to the late Intertoto Cup), the restrictions it puts on small market teams can lead them to bad situations (Hornets, Coyotes). Although even without salary floor restrictions, owners do a fine job of mismanaging and bankrupting teams too (Dodgers, Mets).

I'm probably pro-Salary cap, but it's a many-layered problem that is thankfully left to people much smarter than me to try and solve.

04/26/2011 - 10:20am Salary cap

The baseball example is the go-to one, but I don't think it's clear-cut evidence in favor of a salary cap. The Red Sox and Yankees have a clear advantage each year, but revenue sharing and the luxury tax help other teams as well. Since 2003, 7 different teams have won the World Series.
Also, you can't have a salary cap without a salary floor, and there is no way you will get the Pirates and Royals of the world to commit to doubling their spending.
Leagues with salary caps have not had more parity than leagues without. And certainly have not had less labor issues.
It's a complicated issue, with arguments on both sides.

04/26/2011 - 10:12am At first

It seems really hard to sympathize with either side.
Digging into it, I understand the players' beef. The average NFL career lasts 2.5 seasons and if I recall correctly, the average salary is 1 million, but median salary is not even half that (I don't have the numbers right here, I could be off). So if you're not Ray Lewis or Peyton Manning, you may find yourself at 25 years old, with less than 1 million from your playing days, long term health problems and for most, not a lot of lucrative employment opportunities. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't switch my life for that one. If we're talking about Tom Brady, on the other hand, where do I sign for the life swap?
As for owners, I understand that they don't get the same return or income as they would from other investments, but they get to own an NFL team, which has to be the most enviable corporate position in America, it's worth paying the premium.
Count me on the players' side.

04/24/2011 - 11:09pm The shooter

is only made to look good by the tremendous rebounding and passing effort of his teammate. I counted 141 rebounds and 123 assists in six minutes and a half. Beat that!

04/24/2011 - 10:06pm Reminds me of

Djibril Cissé breaking his left leg...

and then his right leg a year or so later

04/19/2011 - 12:51pm NaS (and Billy Joel)

had a New York State of Mind. Jay-Z (and Alicia Keys) had an Empire State of Mind.

04/18/2011 - 9:28am Gallon

He was on the field for a few snaps, I remember making a lame "Gallon is pint-sized" joke, but no more than that...

04/12/2011 - 12:34am That was an honest question

I guess I needed to be educated. That Iowa player kinda looked a QB finishing his throw, hence my question. I grew up far far away, where people do not even know college football exist, so sometimes I find myself trying to catch up with all the Michigan history. I will get there one day.

For those who want to see it again:

04/12/2011 - 12:02am Epic one-handed grab.

What was the situation? Looks like an interception, did he manage to reel it in?

04/08/2011 - 4:37pm Connollys

Aren't they unrelated and from different countries?

04/07/2011 - 2:32pm Amateurs

Kim is currently in the middle of the pack of amateur players, with Uihlein, Chung and Matsuyama two strokes ahead him at -1, and Smith and Jeong behind him at +2.

04/01/2011 - 9:23pm Federer...

is a national hero, but there is a feeling his best days are behind him now.

I'm not losing hope, but Djokovic, Nadal and Murray look very strong going forward.

03/28/2011 - 6:19pm Denard at the Wisconsin game

I don't want to take anything away from the fact Denard is the nicest kid on Earth, I certainly agree, from what I can see on campus, him dealing with so many people that want a piece of him and still flash that smile. It's pretty irrelevant and Brian only uses it as an anecdote, but at the Wisconsin game, I ran into Denard walking into Crisler with 4-5 FB players, and I was 10 minutes late myself. No idea why they weren't sitting together, though...

03/22/2011 - 3:26pm Rondo

I think he played at Kentucky for two years.

03/03/2011 - 1:44pm Tickets

are hard to get right now, so I'd say the crowd will be alright.

02/13/2011 - 9:52pm Yes

Brandon Moore is the TE from Trotwood.

Edit: Way, way too slow.

02/10/2011 - 3:46pm This

Made me laugh out loud. Thank you

02/10/2011 - 12:14am Neutrality

My national constitution states I have to attach my name to this discussion.

02/09/2011 - 6:49pm StreamTorrent

I am certainly no programmer, but isn't it weird that nobody has managed to do a StreamTorrent or sopCast equivalent for Mac when those programs have been out of years?

Those links always kill me when I can't find web streams. I used to run a windows partition on my MacBook simply for that, but don't have it anymore :(.

02/09/2011 - 6:38pm Streams

Streams have greatly suffered from the recent crackdown.

I hope something pops up cause I was supposed to go to the game but am coming down with something so staying home.

02/06/2011 - 8:05pm Strong stream

If people are still looking, this is a HD stream that's been pretty steady:

02/06/2011 - 2:10pm On the bright side

They now lead the Big Ten in players with the first name Akeem.

02/06/2011 - 12:35pm Looking everywhere

nothing so far... I'll post if I find something.

02/03/2011 - 12:07pm Hum...

McGloin is the PSU walk-on QB who killed us. McColgan is our walk-on FB, I'm not certain he has eligibility left, though...

02/01/2011 - 10:44pm Free and pretty instant.

02/01/2011 - 10:42pm Haha

+1 for making me laugh.

The overwhelming majority of the Swiss were anti-Nazi and sympathized with France.

However the government acted like total sissies, which can somewhat be explained by the gif below (OMG SURROUNDED).

02/01/2011 - 10:32pm Plus

The local AA bunnies can go toe to toe with any in the country.

Kristina and Karissa Shannon (born on October 2, 1989 in Ann Arbor, Michigan)

01/31/2011 - 6:18pm posted from iPhone

We also have chris Bryant as an OL recruit

01/31/2011 - 5:54pm Even though

There are doubts on whether the snub actually happened and if it had anything to do with Jesse's skin color.
Nonetheless, the media at the time and now history took possession of this moment and made it into a symbol.
That said I would also rank him ahead of Magic. He was one of the first nationally famous sportsman of any kind.

01/30/2011 - 4:28pm Stream

Just popped up here :

01/28/2011 - 10:31pm Right in time

for some Friday night partying.

+1 to you all

01/28/2011 - 7:58pm Central Time

Yes, now that you say it, it is.

I guess I can stop F5'ing like a madman.

01/23/2011 - 6:26pm It's not

It's not geographic, you have to have an account and affiliate yourself to a university for your points to count for that university's total.

01/23/2011 - 2:19am Not everything

In that show is funny, but the meth skit is undoubtedly a classic.

01/22/2011 - 2:25pm Eva Mendes

Is that an Eva-Mendes-before-she-was-famous sighting at 1:08?

01/20/2011 - 1:32am Anybody else

Had to read that sentence twice?

01/20/2011 - 1:30am I would tell him

But that requires me waking up and going to the class, something that has happened about as often as twitter hosting press conferences (so, yeah, once)

01/20/2011 - 1:18am The iPhone app

Has just taken over my sleep and made it its bitch.
These kind of late night threads are completely responsible for my not attending 8:30 classes.
How long till we get angry UM professors trying to ban MGoBlog because of poor class attendance?

01/19/2011 - 1:50am Quarters?

We can't even play halves like everyone else?

01/18/2011 - 10:28pm Eiffel 65
01/18/2011 - 10:23pm Children

That creepy guy saying children isn't allowed within 100 feet of elementary schools.

01/18/2011 - 9:22pm Thanks

For the record, the sites I usually check is the one you mentioned (streams can appear after games start, like it did today) , and .

01/18/2011 - 8:58pm Anybody

found a stream anywhere? Those BTN games are always very hard to find online :(

can't the B1G Ten strike a deal with ESPN3? It seems every other major conference has..
