Mo is a great athlete. He was 2nd among the centers at the combine in the lane agility and shuttle run drills. But he was only 13th in wingspan and that is all Bilas cares about.

The odd thing is I saw Mo interviewed by Bilas and another guy on Saturday and Bilas really seemed to like him. Then tonight he trashed him.

Bilas said he was not athletic which is totally at odds with his combine numbers. Bilas is a prejudiced ass-hole.

Ah, dammit. After living in LA for 21 years, I guess I finally have to start rooting for the Lakers. Go Mo, go Pelinka.

He wrote that Gary and BG were >>>> Glen Steele. Well, of course 2 are better than 1.

This is from Steele's wikipedia page:

He played for the 1997 Michigan Wolverines football team that won a national championship. He won the Dick Katcher Award as the top Michigan defensive lineman in 1997. Steele had 45 tackles for loss and 24 career quarterback sacks at Michigan, second most in team history at the time of his graduation.[3] He was named a first team All Big Ten player in 1997 and was also selected as a first team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association.

Does that sound like someone who is "<<<<" to you? I'm not surprised though, Seth is the guy who underrated Mark Messner, only the greatest Michigan defensive lineman of my lifetime.

In case anyone is wondering, he is from Aurora, Illinois. The first time I read this, I thought he was from Denver, Colorado. The second time I thought he was from Warren, Michigan. Mondays suck.

Viewing this on my phone is weird. Instead of the comments getting more and more narrow to the right of the screen, they are getting more and more narrow to the left. One thing that hasn’t changed with the new site is that Maizen/Bluey is still an insufferable bore. Oh no, I made an ad hominem attack against someone who regularly attacks the program! Someone get a mod!

I have one son who is at his 8th grade end of school year dance right now. I am off to walk a friend’s dog in his place. The boy ‘earned’ $30 for 4 days of dog-walking of which wifey and I will have done >50%. Give him credit, though, he rescued the dog from a skunk yesterday. He took some incoming fire. We were able to get him cleaned up for the dance.

I haven’t posted a link, photo or YouTube since the change. BTW, I have been reading the reddit risk posts every day. What I learned from that is the red image you posted means you are a bot.

A couple decades ago I learned not to buy version X.0 of any software. Always wait for version X.1 that had most of the bugs worked out. There are 2 problems with that. 1) I need to read MGo now and 2) I don’t know if there will ever be an MGo 3.1. Typical of Brian to retreat to the virtual MGoBasement and not communicate with his customers.

Yes, but we should be planning better to deal with attrition wherever it comes from. Taking 1 or 2 guys in a class is roster mismanagement bordering on malpractice.

I'll say this for Pacino, he wins the greatest OVER-actor award hands down. His crowning achievement was the scene in the movie Heat where he said, "'Cause she got A GREAT ASSSS.... and YOU GOT YOUR HEAD ALL THE WAY UP IT."

Nobody beats that.

06/12/2018 - 10:26pm Actors had to actually act…

Actors had to actually act before 1990. Now it's all CGI, car chases and shoot outs. I will take pre-90 movies any day. I get Animal House, Caddyshack, Spinal Tap, the good Star Wars movies and so many others. You get Office Space (a classic) and some Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch (minus the Funky Bunch) movies. Now get off my lawn.

P.S. Your avatar was much better pre-1990 as Louie DePalma.

The investment strategy threads were of interest to me. I rate them quite highly. I didn't mind the real estate they took up on the board.

Between high school and college I worked the 7PM to 11:30PM shift at Meijer and spent the afternoons trying to get a tan while listening to Appetite for Destruction, over and over and over again. Enjoy your youth.

The interface on a computer is actually OK. The big problem I'm having is with the iPhone version. I have checked the blog less from my phone. I stopped using the work computer to check the blog because I don't want to get fired. Let's just say, I visit the blog A LOT.

Looks like I can upvote myself, but no one else.

I also notice there's no title field. That's an improvement. I wasted more time thinking of a title and in the end, I usually just put the first few words of my comment up there anyway.

06/03/2018 - 10:53pm Sharks

I hope the McElwain humping the shark joke has jumped the shark

06/02/2018 - 5:53pm Always?

I doubt a brand conscious organization like the NCAA would dilute their basketball "Final 4" by also applying it to football. I have seen mention of the final 4 poll for football, but most reserve "Final 4" for basketball.
There is more meaning in basketball because those are the final teams left in the tournament. In football, those are the only teams in the playoff.

06/02/2018 - 3:11pm Viscous Vic

Has found himself in a sticky situation

06/01/2018 - 1:13pm Jordan

Jordan wouldn't have been standing at half court.

The secret to LBJ playing so many minutes is that he takes a lot of plays off on offense. It's a good strategy because he is drawing the other team's best defender away from the basket. But still, I noticed several plays where he barely crossed half court.

And that was an obvious block. He was sliding into position and falling backwards before contact was made. I don't want to see any more soccerization (flopping) of basketball.

06/01/2018 - 12:45am Kevin Love

Love is a 5 time all-star. You are under rating him. He is not a top 20 player now but I would not be surprised to see him make the HOF.
I didn't say LeBron's supporting cast is as good as Durant's. That would be foolish. My point is that they are not as bad as everyone is saying.

05/31/2018 - 10:06pm Draymond

Will see your dong punch and raise you an eye gouge

05/31/2018 - 10:01pm The Cavs

I think the Bronies are underrated. JR Smith is a former 6th man of the year and is 9th all time in playoff 3s made. George Hill was a solid starter for a good Pacers team. He just can't stay healthy. Korver is maybe the best 3 point shooter not playing for Golden State. Kevin Love was a consistent double-double guy and all-star for the T-Wolves. And Tristan is good enough to attract a Kardashian. But the media wants to sell you the LeBron as superhero carrying a bunch of scrubs storyline. I am not buying it.

Should go back to coaching football.

Here's a comment from the Rockets, "GAAACKK!!!"

05/27/2018 - 11:24pm '78 Rose Bowl

7 year old ST3 cried at the end of that game.

Or the MSU game where Desmond got tackled in the end zone going for 2. I lost my shit for a good hour after that game. I've never felt worse after a loss.

05/26/2018 - 4:24pm The Nebraskaning

Maybe isn't happening? Looks like the children of the corn had a rough day.

05/25/2018 - 1:53pm The button

The blog was offline (for me, at least) late last night. I was hoping they had pushed the button and I would wake up to the new and improved MGoUniverse. Nope. Just the same old same old (which is still pretty good.)

05/25/2018 - 11:33am Keys to success

I encourage you to read Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers. It was a real eye-opener for me. Dedication and hard work are only part of the equation.

05/24/2018 - 2:55pm Help me out

Is it better to have length or lengthiness?

05/24/2018 - 12:19pm "...JBB, who could not pass protect in 2017..."

That's your opinion, one not supported by Seth's re-watch of the OSU and Bowl Games. Wow, it seems JBB had the 3rd best P-Pro percentage. Huh. With Cole leaving, that means he's the 2nd highest returning pass-protector.

Ruiz was the worst, but that's fine for a true frosh. It's tough seeing that 93% from a 5th year senior.

05/24/2018 - 10:40am Poor Oklahoma

The Nebraskaning is happening. Soon, we will all be children of the corn.
