07/31/2011 - 12:19am You

You better not be an OSU fan fucking with us lol!!!

07/31/2011 - 12:17am Lol

Lol, no shit. I was planning on taking it easy tonight, but I might need to bust out the Red Label now! Lets just hope hes messing with us,

07/28/2011 - 3:42pm Again

Again..He didn't have a commitable offer people. How many times does it have to be said?

07/28/2011 - 12:11am I guess

I guess I"ve been living under a rock but when did Dunn's cousin commit to Michigan? I'm assuming your talking about Dymonte Thomas?

05/20/2011 - 5:47pm I dont know

I dont know, I've been a premieum subscriber for 6 months now and I've got nothing but great things to say about Scout!! All the info that they've given out thus far as been very reliable and accurate. Lets just say the 10 bucks you pay a month is worth every penny imo.  Anyway, if I had to guess, I would say it's either Reeves or Morgan, but not quite sure...

Oh, and a little hint for everyone...its a non Midwest prospect...

05/06/2011 - 11:23pm Truly

Truly senseless. This kind of shit needs to stop, killing someone over a petty arguement...wow, smh.

Condolences to the family, very sad.

05/04/2011 - 2:59pm Bill Greene of Scout

Bill Greene of scout stated Michigan is the clear leader for Dymonte Thomas as of right now and Matisson made a huge impression on him when he visited campus last weekend. Oh...and hes also Bri'onte Dunn's cousin =)

05/04/2011 - 2:04pm I support

This is exactly the reason why I try and not get emotionally invested in the sport, who advises these kids? He could've been potentially a top 15 pick next year and led a really good Michigan team to great things, instead he has chosen to be a late 1st round or early 2nd round pick and miss out lose on a really nice payday next year instead? It just doesn't make much sense to me at all really...oh well. Best of luck to Darius.

05/04/2011 - 12:30am UGH...

UGH...I don't get it at all but, regardless best of luck to him in the league.

04/27/2011 - 11:26pm Its got to

Its got to be Sparty! Warden D'antonio is shadier than most of the merry band of felons that make up his chain gan...I mean team.

04/27/2011 - 11:25pm Oh well

Oh well, not to surprising. We didn't have a chance without a visit from the kid. Best of Luck to him!

04/27/2011 - 7:20pm I don't

I don't know about his OU connections. But I've read hes more of an OU lock then ND at this point.

04/27/2011 - 1:58pm I wonder

I wonder how much of an affect having Godin potentially commit to us will have on O'Brien. Because as of right now, I think were a long shot. Which, I don't understand, I mean does he realize we now have the former Defensive cordinator of the Ravens in Mattison, Brady Hoke who specializes on the DL and a young, enthusiatic defensive line coach in Montgomery....thats seems to be a recipe for success for any defensive linemen imo and would certainly be a very attractive option. But yet, I hardly hear anything out of the O'Brien camp about Michigan. Maybe it comes down to were just not recruiting him that hard anymore?

04/27/2011 - 1:36pm Ugh

Ugh...just visit already Bri'onte!!! I hate how it keeps pushing it back.

04/27/2011 - 1:33pm Wow

Wow, I'm not gonna question the staff on why they don't think he could be a RB. But his film is very impressive and it looks like, at least to me, hes got all the neccessary skills to be a Division 1 RB. I hope they come around to offering him has a RB eventually.

04/27/2011 - 1:25pm No not

No not really. Having Royce-Jenkins Stone commit has only helped and he recently said something along the lines of he could see himself staying in state.

04/27/2011 - 1:15pm O'Brien

O'Brien who? Ondre Pipkins and Sheldon Day would be a sick combo at DT. Make it happen coach Mattison!

04/27/2011 - 12:18am He hasn't

He hasn't de-committed from Ohio St and hasn't told anyone he did either. He apparently really enjoyed his visit to the Ohio St. Spring game last week too. A Michigan visit is still in the works and after that hes not planning on seeing any other schools at the moment. This is all coming directly from him by the way.

04/25/2011 - 9:31am Not only

Not only that, but hes already stated he prefers to play in warm weather too. He's SEC destined if you ask me.

04/25/2011 - 9:28am Absolutely not

Absolutely not. The staff is on these kids very aggressively.  Their trying to get kids to commit early with a first come, first serve type of philosophy. Their maybe holding out a spot or two for a select few(if any really) and that includes only the very upper echelon players.

04/22/2011 - 6:49pm Wow

Wow, that young man certainly hit a growth spurt, 6'4 350..he could be quite the road grader on the O-line now!!

04/22/2011 - 4:03pm Congrats

Congrats Devin!! Welcome to the family!! GO BLUE!!

And with regards to Mr. Thompson, everything I've gathered so far(Tom Beaver) is that Michigan will still most certainly take him in this class. AJ Williams could possibly move to the OL or strictly become a blocking TE. Funchess is very versatile, he could play H-back, TE, split back or even line up as an outside WR. Still leaving room for another hybrid type in Thompson.

04/22/2011 - 12:03am Vlad: You shouldn't

You shouldn't feel to bad, it was his decision to transfer, he wasn't forced out. And things may have not worked out with Colorado, but he tranfered to Toledo aftterwards. Things are looking up for him now, he'll be good.

04/21/2011 - 12:57pm The Big House

The Big House Blog is reporting that theres rumors swirling that DJ Williamson is also looking to tranfer his way out of Michigan too. First time I"ve heard rumors about him, but I guess I can see it since he might not be the best fit in a Pro Style offense I guess?

04/21/2011 - 12:28pm Thanks

Thanks goblue7612. I might just have to scoop me up a pair. Although, I'm a college student living on a tight budget, so if I do I just might be living off of Raman noodles for the next 2 weeks, lol.

04/21/2011 - 12:24pm Thanks

Thanks Magnus. I knew I heard something, albiet very vague like you stated.

04/21/2011 - 12:19pm Yikes

Yikes thats a bit of an awkward position to be in. Thanks for the update Tom.

04/21/2011 - 10:54am Nice

Nice, I really like his film. Hes definitely got an intriguing size/speed combo going for him. He might be a diamond in the rough now, but I could definitely see him scooping up some nice BCS offers as the process rolls along.

04/21/2011 - 2:50am The Wings

The Wings completely dominated the series. I honestly didn't think it was gonna be as easy as it was. I really thought Phoenix's solid defensive play, physicality and Bryzgalov were gonna give Detroit fits. And we would really need to capitalize on the Powerplay to put Phoenix away quickly.

But, that sure wasn't the case. I think I predicted it in 6 but...I'll gladly take the sweep. The extra time off should really help us out, Franzen will have time to heal up and will be getting our best playoff performer back in Zetterberg for round 2..so we should be just that much better! GO WINGS!!

04/21/2011 - 2:23am I might be mistaken

I might be completely mistaken or getting my players mixed up, but wasn't it rumored that he was gonna transfer a couple of months ago too?

04/19/2011 - 5:03pm The silent

The silent commit wasn't at the Spring game, at least according to Beaver.

04/19/2011 - 5:02pm Agreed

Agreed, from what I gather all signs point to the vast majority of the kids pretty much buying into what coach Hoke and his staff are bringing to Michigan. I also agree that there will be some sort of attrition, but nowhere near the levels accumlated under RR. I think less then 5 is a reasonable guess.

04/19/2011 - 4:58pm Its not Pharaoh

The silent is an in-state kid. I know this to be 100% fact. Like I've stated already, all signs point to Godin...

04/19/2011 - 4:54pm I heard

I heard it was actually Dee Hart.

04/19/2011 - 4:50pm Like I said

Like I said in Tom's Weekly roundup previously, all signs point to Godin. In fact, I'd be willing to bet cash money that its him.

04/18/2011 - 2:46pm Hes got

Hes got upcoming visits to Penn State and Michigan St  planned I believe. Which is why I think its Godin.

Per Tom, "The plan was to commit to the coaches, take two more visits then come forward with the announcement at his school."

04/18/2011 - 12:45pm Godin

It's not Day, who I suspected might be the player yesterday. Apparently its a in-state player from what I've gathered on Scout. So...I"m gonna guess its Godin.

04/17/2011 - 6:35pm Yep

Yep, whoever the silent is, isn't on the offensive side of the ball. At least according to Tom Beaver. I"m gonna guess its either Sheldon Day or Joe Bolden...

edit- Also too the OP. There's no thread on Scout saying Diamond committed, I have Premium.

04/12/2011 - 7:51pm I hope

I hope its the former and not the latter. The kids a hell of a player and if I recall correctly, I thought I remembered reading that he had mutual interest in us too? Well, I guess if we miss out on Vincent we still might have a shot at landing another big time Illinois DT in Tommy Schutt, although, I heard he was a PSU fan...yuck!!

04/12/2011 - 2:27pm Yep

Yep, unfortunately Alabama leads for his services as of now.

04/07/2011 - 11:43pm What a

What a performance by Hunwick, he really saved our asses!! National Championship here we come!! Go Blue!!

04/04/2011 - 4:05am I don't really

I don't really feel like comprising a list of my favorite MC's of all-time(it's 3:30am and my judgement is severely clouded right now, lol) but I'll leave you with a song by Gang Starr ft Big L(his verse is sick!) that came to my head immediately when looking over this thread..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeK2hFGdt_w

And all though I'm not really into Styles P, him and Pharoach Monch rip this track! Just another good memory from back in my High School days!! I could go on and on, but I think its time for me to hit the sack!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZxE9R10dYk

edit- Unfortunately I don't know how to embed videos yet?

04/04/2011 - 3:20am Oh boy

Oh boy, I almost wish you didn't say anything Tom.....ya tease! I"m already giddy with anticpation to find out who these "10-13, very good" prospects could possibly be? I know that Zeke Pike and Dorial Beckham Green have gotten friendly recently ...could these two be part of the goup that you mention? I guess only time will tell... Anyway, as always, I really appreciate the Weekley update! Keep up the good work!!

03/30/2011 - 8:28pm Gimmie da gold!!

03/26/2011 - 5:02pm Thanks

Thanks for the correction! For some reason I didn't know that, but it makes sense I guess...

03/26/2011 - 2:25pm Thats excellent

Thats excellent news for Matt!! Hopefully hes accepted to both contests and can display his talents on a national stage as a.....Michigan commit!! GO BLUE!!!

03/24/2011 - 11:35pm Hell Yeah!!

Hell Yeah!! It feels good to finally get that first commit out of the way! The kids raw but it looks like hes got a lot of untapped potential, and is naturally gifted with size and a hefty bulk(which is always a plus, plus)!! Hopefully this really gets the ball rolling for this class!! GO BLUE!!

03/24/2011 - 5:56pm I'm not

I'm not gonna get too worked up over the prospects of this actually happening just yet, but just imagine Dunn and Stephen Hokins lined up next to each other in the backfield....

03/24/2011 - 3:43pm Thanks to Tom

Thanks to Tom and my Inspector Gadget like detective skills, I think I may have solved the mystery.  If anyone read the article posted on Freep today about Braden, the last sentence of the highlighted quote below, really sticks out to me now. It really makes me suspect that more than likely Ben is the "player" riding up to Michigan today with his coach. That and hes seems to be the closest player that I know of other than maybe, Kaleb Ringer, who plans on commiting in the immediate. We shall see.....

Braden said "I would probably say Wisconsin has been recruiting the hardest. My plan is to (make college chocie) in person with coach."

03/24/2011 - 12:27pm Was it

Was it yesterday? I was under the impression that today was the day he was supposed to be on campus? Regardless, I highly doubt its him. I"m gonna go with Godin too.  We haven't heard much from his camp lately and he was "high" on Michigan and nearing a upcoming desicion from what I've gathered on the situation.
