11/20/2018 - 12:31pm Eh, our receivers ran free…

Eh, our receivers ran free against them last year - we just didn't have a QB that could throw a ball into the ocean.

11/15/2018 - 8:59am I think my expectations are…

I think my expectations are higher after last night, sure, but we really don't know what Villanova is this year either. I thoroughly enjoyed that, though.

11/14/2018 - 8:43pm Ah yea, 73-46 final Michigan…

Ah yea, 73-46 final Michigan, just as we all predicted.

10/31/2018 - 12:02pm Eh, the committee has shown…

Eh, the committee has shown that they are forgiving of losses to good teams. A win over what would be a 2-7 Arkansas team isn't a resume boost.

10/30/2018 - 12:42pm Probably 6.

Probably 6.

10/25/2018 - 11:16am I understand this, but I…

I understand this, but I also feel the goalposts are being moved every game. First it was "If we get through Wisconsin..." then it was "Yeah, but Harbaugh can't beat rivals..." and now it's "Let's get through PSU...".

At some point I feel we've got to allow ourselves to he happy that we have, most likely, a good football team this year.

Fans are urging other fans to not think about the playoff. I really hope that's not the attitude the team has taken. I hope they are believing they can make it there and playing that way, too.

10/24/2018 - 9:28am Something irks me when…

Something irks me when people say (not necessarily you, this just reminded me) that Michigan has no offensive identity or doesn't know what it's trying to be or any of the other seemingly innumerable cliches regarding the offense. The offense's identity is this: multiple.

10/22/2018 - 11:42am Always get a sinking feeling…

Always get a sinking feeling when someone is carted off of the field. Hopefully he recovers quickly and it doesn't impact the draft too much for him.

10/21/2018 - 9:53am I would think it would be…

I would think it would be Bama, Clemson, Notre Dame, and Michigan. UCF would probably finish like #6 - #8.

10/20/2018 - 1:07pm Is there any logic to…

Is there any logic to winning the toss and electing to receive?

It never came from anywhere, it just ... always was. Some say it is what initiated the big bang.

Only ironically.

09/24/2018 - 11:41am Our offense is top 25,…

Our offense is top 25, according to S&P+ (24th). Ultimately I agree the line is probably fine and maybe even perhaps too generous. I can see us blowing them out, but I can easily see a much closer than anticipated game as well.

We must lead the nation in PI calls

09/18/2018 - 2:58pm When I say "turn him loose"…

When I say "turn him loose" I don't think passing. I do think a handful of designed runs should be deployed, but perhaps against higher quality opponents. Love that he kept the ball a couple of times - he should do that some to keep defenses guessing. Handing off every time just takes something the defense needs to respect away.

09/18/2018 - 2:57pm Literally the guys next to…

Literally the guys next to me on Saturday were calling for Harbaugh's head on every 2ish yard run up the middle. "Throw the ball more!"

Like what? Why would we do that when 1) it's not what Harbaugh wants to offense to do generally anyways and 2) we're up 3 scores

09/12/2018 - 1:58pm However, this was the best…

However, this was the best the offense has looked since 2016, even adjusted for opponents.

I want to turn it off and yet I am intrigued by how bad it can get

To be fair this is exceptional even by Lions standards.

This is quite the implosion even by Lions standards

09/05/2018 - 9:28am I also feel like we should…

I also feel like we should just luck ourselves into a win in one of these games.

09/04/2018 - 1:09pm I don't think it was as bad…

I don't think it was as bad as I initially thought. It wasn't great - particularly the outside OL (as has been discussed ad nauseum) - but I'm certainly not ready to throw in the towel, either. The defense really settled in after the first two drives which consisted of some bone-headed penalties, fantastic improvisation by Wimbush, and a should-have-been-intercepted-but-ended-in-ND-TD-catch, etc.

Watching it live (I was there) I felt pretty listless, but following up afterward has convinced me the sky isn't falling (yet). With our 3 upcoming homegames let's build Shea some confidence and hopefully we're firing on all cylinders come MSU.

09/04/2018 - 8:39am I mean I tried my best…

I mean I tried my best yelling "run a draw!" from the stands.

09/04/2018 - 8:31am I wouldn't say carbon copy…

I wouldn't say carbon copy. Shea and Dylan were hitting simple passes. That alone is a large improvement over last year.

09/03/2018 - 6:45pm It's pretty much a script at…

It's pretty much a script at some point. I keep waiting for the other team to do something tragic at the end of a game - a fumble that Michigan recovers or an interception, etc. It doesn't seem we will get those breaks. Maybe we have and I don't remember (OSU in 2011 on their potentially game-winning drive does come to mind).

Watching Michigan football is just a state of dread right now. We know what will happen - we will beat the Westerns, Indianas, etc. of the world, but at this point there is no reason whatsoever to think we will beat PSU, Wisconsin, MSU, or OSU. I'd like to think we have dumb luck in at least one of those games that results in a good outcome, but, ugh.

There is a little thread of hope in that the offense looked at least functional against what is projected to be one of the best defenses they will face all season. Perhaps, like OSU in 2014, we go on to win all of our remaining games. While I don't think that's the case, eh, maybe?

09/02/2018 - 8:40pm The main complaint I had is…

The main complaint I had is throwing on 2nd and 2 on the ND 2 when we had consistently been getting 3ish yards a run.

There was no urgency at the end of the game down 2 scores. They were taking 30+ seconds each play. Then again, we did get the ball back with 2:00 remaining and a chance to tie, so maybe the clock management wasn’t as bad as I initially thought.

08/22/2018 - 12:50pm I love Jim but that's…

I love Jim but that's ludicrous.

08/01/2018 - 9:16am I mean, I don't think so,…

I mean, I don't think so, but people outside of Michigan fandom seem to just parrot "he hasn't won anything" and then refer to record vs. rivals.

They aren't invalid points, but when I point out conference titles at San Diego and his success in the NFL they say, for some reason, that those don't count. Basically I don't engage anymore because of the goalpost-moving.

Plus, a lot of people love to hate Harbaugh.

07/18/2018 - 8:17am Much less, and especially…

Much less, and especially the board. I find the layout to be cumbersome. I used to basically be on Facebook, reddit, or MGoBlog, but lately I haven't been on here as much. Part of that is certainly due to it being the offseason, but I haven't adapted to the new layout yet. I'm sure usage will pick up when football is closer.

06/06/2018 - 9:55am We had to euthanize my…

We had to euthanize my childhood dog just last week, I'm sorry that you had to go through with that. Ours went in to the vet to clip his tail (benign tumor) and they said he had kidney and liver disease and if he were human would've gone straight to dialysis. They gave him a pill and prescription food to see how he would do over 6 weeks, and he did improve dramatically for awhile, but fell apart over Memorial Day weekend. His hind legs kept falling out from under him, and it was tragic to see. The day after Memorial Day was his check-up to see how the medicine went and it was just over.

He had no sibling pets so I can't comment on how they behave, but I (since have moved away from the parents') rescued a dog and he's almost 2 years old and I think he can pick up on my emotions very well. It may not be so much that the other dog is mourning as much as they know something is off with you?

05/30/2018 - 9:09pm Patterson is one person, and

Patterson is one person, and not a panacea. If the line can't block and our RBs struggle in pass pro, he'll still be limited.

05/09/2018 - 8:36am I really don't like the "3rd

I really don't like the "3rd place in the East" argument. Would Harbaugh be a better coach if he were winning the SEC East a la Jim McElwain?

I don't disagree with your points at all, but being 3rd in arguably the most competitive division in college football doesn't mean you're a worse coach than someone who wins a cakewalk division year in and year out.

Of course, relative to expectations, it's very reasonable to say we've underachieved so far under Harbaugh.

I use the app Hopper to watch flights, it's a very simple interface which basically says "Wait" or "Book Now".

Additionally, I use SkyScanner.

Since I typically try to book low cost I cycle through the low cost carriers of Spirit, Southwest, and Frontier (out of Detroit) but if my flight is much more than 2 hours long I tend to favor Delta.

04/10/2018 - 5:17pm Ole Miss has no choice but to

Ole Miss has no choice but to do this - the only petty part is waiting until the end of the deadline. They are formally disagreeing with the NCAA and are in the appeals process, if they didn't object to Shea's version of events they're essentially admitting the wrongdoing they are appealing against.

The NCAA still makes the final decision, and as Brian said, nothing indicates it should be anything other than favorable for us.

Ed: I suppose they could've just not responded at all (neither object nor endorse), but I suppose silence is sometimes construed as guilt and it really doesn't hurt them to respond.
