07/25/2011 - 9:58am Good Luck!  I'm taking it in

Good Luck!  I'm taking it in IL!  That old Rilo Kiley video is actually working wonders on my frazzled self-confidence.  T-60 hours until drinking commences.

07/18/2011 - 5:05pm T-8 days until the bar.

T-8 days until the bar.  Right there with you.  I mean empathetically, not in a "joining together in co-ownership of a business for profit thereby resulting in a general partnership" kind of way or a "statement of admission by a party of being amenable to the actions at issue" way or an "agreeing to good faith modification of a UCC Article II contract for the sale of goods" kind of way.

07/15/2011 - 4:29pm I'm studying for the bar as I

I'm studying for the bar as I read this.  I've learned very quickly just how much laughing is frowned-upon.

Many happy returns on the day!  Thanks for all you do!

04/12/2011 - 1:03pm That we are!  Party on

That we are!  Party on MGoJen!

03/14/2011 - 2:40pm Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting this!  I'm coming into town for St. Patty's Day at Conor's and a trip to Dominick's and now I can add this to my itinerary!  Hopefully throw in a trip to the Joe for the finals and it will be nigh on the best weekend ever!

04/26/2010 - 3:48pm Ordered on 15th

If anyone had trouble with the coupon (as I did) know that your orders are going through a higher-up to make sure the coupon is credited to you when your order ships. These order are taking a bit longer b/c they are getting personal attention.

04/14/2010 - 9:58am Agreed

I agree completly. Lifting when your muscles are already warm - after 10min of moderate cardio - is incredibly effective and feels just plain awesome. You'll have no stiffness, full range of motion, and reduced chance of injury.

Trade off your long-distance cardio days with shorter, moderate cardio and lifting days. You'll love the way it feels.

Also agree with previous posters that static lifting (bicep curls, etc) is a waste of time. Even a simple push-up works your arms, as well as your core stabilizing muscles, and all in one. If you're looking to take it up a notch, try a kettleball.

03/12/2010 - 4:06pm I got the same impression.

I got the same impression. Espcially after the ref had to escort Matta back to his bench. Priceless.

02/19/2010 - 4:10pm Ah! Recent grads! Anybody

Ah! Recent grads! Anybody from the Tuesdays at Charley's group?

02/18/2010 - 4:44pm Graduated with them actually!

Graduated with them actually!

02/18/2010 - 3:33pm Northwest High School, late 90's

All sports were mediocre at best, but the band was amazing!

At football games there were more people in the stands to see the band than the football team.

02/18/2010 - 1:59pm The next time someone tells

The next time someone tells me Ferris passed out at 31 flavors last night I'm checking with you.

02/15/2010 - 4:52pm Just don't tell Justin to put

Just don't tell Justin to put his back into it. He'll quit and then claim you still have to pay him based on substantial performance.

02/15/2010 - 10:05am I second the motion for

I second the motion for Weber's. Our wedding there was perfect. They have everything you'll need, the prices are the best, the food is good, the open bar is a good deal, and you can be totally Type-A about the whole thing, calling them regularly, always running hypothecticals by them, etc and they'll happily help you out.

We got married the summer of 2008 and at that point the U wouldn't let us use the law quad. We mentioned we'd seen a wedding there and they said it was one of the Dean's daughters.

02/09/2010 - 1:24pm Totally agree that his class

Totally agree that his class was a waste of time. GSI's totally sucked ass.

Only produced one memorable thing - his 25min comparison of the 2000 Gore Presidential campaign to Raiders of the Lost Ark. The theme of the lecture was, "They're digging in the wrong place." I don't remember how that was relevant.

02/09/2010 - 10:59am Ugh. Don't remind me. I

Ugh. Don't remind me. I still feel dirty knowing I got A's in his classes just becuase I'm a girl.

02/08/2010 - 10:32am Whenever they do a wide shot

Whenever they do a wide shot of Adam Schefter on Sportscenter with the bookshelf in the background there is always a copy of Bo's Lasting Lessons over his right shoulder.

02/04/2010 - 10:06am I have to miss the game this

I have to miss the game this weekend becuase I'll be doing trial run-throughs. PLEASE have a beer (or 5) for me.

02/04/2010 - 9:58am Agreed

1) Charge dropped: prosecutorial discretion can amount for any changes in charges. Unless you're the prosecutor or the defense you will almost never know why which charges are picked, pressed, or dropped.

2) For Double Jeopardy to apply there has to be a factual finding (legal decision) regarding an occurrance/action. Once that action has been decided it cannot be decided again. Trial is not necessary - if a court finds you in contempt of court you cannot later be charged with anything relating to why you were held in contempt of court. (Kind of like preclusion in civil claims).

02/03/2010 - 3:18pm When you're right, you're

When you're right, you're right, and you, you're always right.

02/02/2010 - 1:31pm I didn't know things were so

I didn't know things were so bad at work honey. Why didn't you say something? Maybe it would be better if you spelled Mystic Spiral with two y's?

01/31/2010 - 8:56pm For those of you around Ann

For those of you around Ann Arbor that love beer - there is a great brewery out of Dexter called Jolly Pumpkin. They've now opened a restaurant on Main Street that serves good food and all of their beer. Also, I can find the Bam Bier and Noel at Whole Foods in Chicago, so if you've got a WF near you definitely check it out. The Bam Bier (a farmhouse ale) is GREAT stuff.

01/31/2010 - 8:41pm Don't know what state you're applying to...

...but the IL bar admissions committee assigns a contact person to law students who will answer questions about how and what to fill out on the application. Check with your state bar to see if they have contact person for you.

Another good measuring stick is to look at your law school application and match anything you had to disclose there.

01/28/2010 - 2:54pm OT: PowerPoint

I love PowerPoint too and would use it every day if I could. If you've never seen this, it cracks me up:

Which coaches are DNP? I had it in my head that the recently de-throned Mike Leach and Mark Mangino were the only ones.

01/26/2010 - 11:08am Has anyone seen the

Has anyone seen the commercials for the Shake Weight? It's a bunch of women holding a cylander-shaped weight vertically and shaking it up and down. A man definitely created this thing:

01/07/2010 - 3:10pm You forgot to mention that it

You forgot to mention that it said 'Hail to the Victors' down the front in buttercream. Yum.

12/17/2009 - 11:55am It is. It is now part of the

It is. It is now part of the Hill Dorms Conglomeration. Sad day, but at least it's assigned to upperclassmen.

12/17/2009 - 10:43am Ok. I'll represent Stockwell

Ok. I'll represent Stockwell with this gem:

Standing on the 4th floor roof of Stockwell looking west before they built the new science buildings. At dusk you could see the tops of the buildings all lit up across campus. Everything glowed.

12/15/2009 - 9:18pm Just saw it on ABC Family

Just saw it on ABC Family (Home Alone 2 = perfect study aid). Guess KMart is trying to appeal to their target market.

12/11/2009 - 11:01am If Brian can set this up,

If Brian can set this up, make sure he posts something on the facebook fan page just in case any facebook fans haven't been to the website lately.

12/10/2009 - 10:22pm I love how Kelly was just on

I love how Kelly was just on ESPN accepting his Coach of the Year award and Chris Fowler asked him something like 5 questions in a row trying to get Kelly to admit to this and Kelly would not bite. Kelly even said (paraphrasing), "I see what you're trying to do Chris, but I don't have anything to say about it right now." Dude, you're not fooling anyone.

12/03/2009 - 5:49pm I don't like to down-vote,

I don't like to down-vote, but I will take the opportunity on the sad occasion that someone shows a lack of respect for the rights of others to participate in something they enjoy. You are showing the very lack of respect that you accuse others of directing at you.

We are all here to share in something that gives us joy and some reprieve from our daily stresses. Yes, I may not have played football - the main problem being that I'm a 5-foot-tall woman - but it doesn't mean that I - or anyone else here - shouldn't be able to share in our collective love for sports and the University of Michigan. I for one will continue to do so in a regular fashion.

12/03/2009 - 4:21pm Easy. The capacity of the

Easy. The capacity of the normal human brain is incapable of contemplating the awesomeness that is Zoltan.

12/03/2009 - 9:45am I enjoyed the first comment

I enjoyed the first comment about how most Spartan fans will take the high road and not rub our noses in their wins. I wonder how that guy likes living on his isolated island where he's never met another Spartan fan.

12/01/2009 - 10:01am After rejection from Michigan

After rejection from Michigan I think Jimmay and Greg Paulus open up a cupcake bakery togeteher - in Boys Town, Chicago.

11/30/2009 - 4:19pm I just imagine that the next

I just imagine that the next day Lou would be on ABC doing predictions (read with lisp and spitting) - "Notre Dame will win the National Championship this year!"

11/30/2009 - 3:48pm My ND friend is sitting next

My ND friend is sitting next to me in the library and has resigned herself to rolling her eyes at me as I show her things like this every 10 seconds and snicker.

11/24/2009 - 9:21pm Zoltan the Great

is also a nominee for the Lowe's Senior CLASS award. Vote for him here:

11/24/2009 - 9:17pm Woot!

Very excited for Cullen! Also thanks to Tim for posting so quickly! Great work - now go have a nice Thanksgiving!

11/24/2009 - 11:21am You're here

You're here, you're not queer, but you're close. I guess we'll have to get used to it. Isnt' there a sale at Express for Men this weekend? Crab people anyone?

PS I can do this for days at a time without rest.

11/24/2009 - 9:36am You're just saying that...

...but it's only a matter of time until one of you goes Marjorine on us and fakes your death, dresses up like a woman, and tries to infiltrate our sleepovers to find out what we're doing and steal the device.

11/23/2009 - 9:36pm Once saw a guy on a cruise

wearing a red and white 'Muck Fichigan' shirt. Asked him where he went to school. His answer? "I dropped out of Ohio State." Awesome.

Also, love the poetry! Great imagery!

11/23/2009 - 9:28pm I get it

I get it and Texts From Last Night are ALWAYS relevant.

11/23/2009 - 9:26pm Agreed

And who isn't looking forward to more Roundtree? Hard work is clearly showing.

11/23/2009 - 9:21pm At the Western game

At the Western game my husband and I were discussing various play calls and I made an observation about the use of the pistol formation by Western's offense. The guy behind me obviously heard me becuase when his buddy came back to sit down the guy repeated what I had said to his buddy. Needless to say he was incapable of saying anything original.

11/19/2009 - 9:07pm Missing Minor

Even Adam Rittenberg really wanted to see Minor out there one more time. I know I did.

11/19/2009 - 11:47am Matchup of the Decade

Enjoy Mike and Mike as they talk about this matchup. There's a couple of jems buried in there:

11/17/2009 - 10:43pm I may be...

I may be tearing up right now. Something about that voice is like having liquid BLUE pumped through your veins.
