Remember reading a while back that Chicago apparently wasn't under consideration due to the seating capacity (only 61,500) of Soldier Field.

Of course Alabama has a Kenyan distance runner. Even their track & field bagmen are on point.

At any given point, each franchise prolly has a dozen-ish kids in their system who are legit MLB prospects. And those kids need to play in minor league games...
Rookie (anywhere from two to four teams)
...and each of those teams needs 25-ish players. Meaning each team has at least 150 minor league players who exist solely so that the dozen-ish with an MLB future can play competitive baseball every day. Hence the 40 round draft.

I mean, this would've improved UM's QB situation last year. Not exactly a high bar to clear.
|05/31/2018 - 5:33pm||I'd wager on a 3:30 kickoff.||
UM/MSU falls on the same day as a hypothetical NLCS Game 6, which would also be on either FOX or FS1.

Techincally, you're correct. Technically.

Alumni Hall only sat 5,500-ish. Rosemont sat 17,000-ish... which quickly turned into 12,000-ish empty seats every game.

DePaul played in Alumni Hall (which was on-campus in the heart Lincoln Park) thru the 1979-80 season, at which point they moved their home games all the way out to Rosemont. Which absolutely *crushed* their recruiting.
|05/19/2018 - 3:08pm||Colt Brennan!||
Kid could totally sling it in college!
|05/17/2018 - 9:53am||Seconded on Folsum.||
Went there for a night game against ASU in 2016. It was goregous.

Yeah, in the current Eastern Conference. Which has been absolutely awful for going on a decade.
MJ was losing to the Celtics & Pistons of the 1980s. Those caliber of teams are all in the Western Conference these days.

But the payout from Jerryworld was $6 million.

Regulation W = 3 points
OT W = 2 points
OT L = 1 point

52) OH PF Jerome Hunter, Indiana
57) MI PF Marcus Bingham, Michigan State
74) MI PF Brandon Johns, Michigan

2016 - 4 commits, 31st

In hindsight, they would have been better off staying in the Big East (for everything else) and going independent in football.

If you're rooting for the late slot, mos def cheer *against* Villanova today. Villanova vs. KU or Duke would be guaranteed the late slot.
