Da man!

It's odd

We were pretty healthy in 2011 with the same S&C and Wellman. Everything started to go downhill the following year. Countess, Wormley, Bryant, Denard...

Nice to see the players fihgt

Nice to see the players fihgt hard and get the win. It may not have been pretty, but I was really proud of the effort. Props to Gardner, Miller, Smith, Hayes and that entire defense.

One thing that can never be

One thing that can never be questioned is DG's toughness. Kid is tough as nails for sure. I just hope he didn't use himself up tonight, we have zero chance against MSU without him.

lol

Literally every person in a decision-making capacity in Penn State-Michigan should be fired.

Florida could win 8 or 9

Everyone would take Harbaugh,

Everyone would take Harbaugh, but no one is sure if he wants to come. Art Briles and Gary Patterson have no midwest ties and have never recruited Ohio. Mullen makes much more sense than either of them.

Exactly!

Maybe he wants a go at his former boss and to be a part of the greatest rivarly in all of sports. We can only hope...

Good luck to the kid

Roy Manning did a hell of a job recruiting him.

It just feels unnecessary. I

It just feels unnecessary. I wouldn't mind the naming rights and ads, if the money actually went towards lowering future ticket prices.

And he was a DC at FSU for

And he was a DC at FSU for two years. Same as his brother at Florida, before he got the Oklahoma job. If we don't land Harbaugh or Mullen, I'm all for hiring Stoops.

Listening to the mgoblog

Listening to the mgoblog roundtable podcast. WTKA should give Brain and Craig Ross their own show.

I think this is the first in

I think this is the first in a long time we've seen some urgency out of the guys being pushed for jobs. Andersson and Kindl both played well enough to keep this spots in the lineup.

Bo was against the law

Bo was against the law because he thought it would screw up college football. There'd be enormouse pressure on the football program to become an even-bigger money making operation. That is exactly what happened. The way football scholarships were reduced by the NCAA, no doubt hurt college football. On top of that, the gender-equity plan cut squad sizes, which cost the school between 10-30 walk-ons.

Bo Schembechler was no fan of Title IX, but his love for Michigan – and his respect for Hutchins – was stronger than his dislike of that law.  When he was athletic director, and saw Hutch’s team practicing in random t-shirts and shorts, he didn’t like it.  The next day, Hutchins found big boxes of official Michigan t-shirts and shorts outside her office, and within a couple weeks, more gear with Michigan Softball emblazoned on it all.

And he did things the right

And he did things the right way.

None of that would have

None of that would have happened if MSC and Martin had kept their word. It was Coleman and Martin who, it is said, promised RR that Michigan would take care of his WV buyout. What do you think they were discussing in that secret meeting in Toledo.

I think everyone is starting to see this

Firing a proven coach to hire someone with a career losing record was not a good idea. Who would have thought... thank you Dave Brandon!

yep

Mallett was despised by his teammates and Lloyd threw transfer papers at him his freshman year. The guy never gave RR a shot because he was having transfer thoughts the second he arrived in Ann Arbor. I still think, he would have gone to Arkansas if not for Mitch Mustain. The biggest reason he came to Michigan was Scott Loeffler.

I always go back to this

If Casteel had been hired and we had a healthy Antonio Bass, we probably win 8 games with that team.

Rich Rod interview(starts at 21:30) from yesterday on JT the Brick Show. He talked about Michigan and how by year four and five he felt like we would have been competing for championships.

It kind of looks like the Steiner Brothers jacket

(No subject)

I agree

The pressure needs to continue in order to get rid of Brandon. As Brian tweeted, they rescheduled the regents candidate forum for tomorrow because of "schedule conflicts". That tells me they were not prepared to deal with the situation. The student boycott might send them the message and maybe there's a firing during the bye week.

Did you expect Beilein not to

Did you expect Beilein not to support him? Hutch and Red also supported him. None of it helped us win against Rutgers. In the end, he's record on the field is what will get him fired. Remember those "red-letter games"? If we lose to MSU and OSU, he will be on a five game losing streak in those, with ZERO road wins in four years.

If it wasn't

The AD or school would have denied it by now.

So far, the weather looks OK

Partly cloudy, high 60 and low 38.

Bo Clan for sure. Brandon

Bo Clan for sure. Brandon must be fired and the new AD(hopefully Brad Bates) does everything he can to hire Jim Harbaugh. I will not be happy until we offer him the job. If he rejects us, we can finally move on.

Going the Bill O'Brien route

What about Josh McDaniels? He's coaching Tom Brady and was born in Barberton, just like Bo.

Speaking of assistants

If Harbaugh had gotten the QB coaching job instead of Loeffler, I wonder how far he would have made it here. Does he replace Carr or would he have taken another job before that...

On the other hand, the last

On the other hand, the last time we beat all three was in 2003.

He's from Youngstown and

He's from Youngstown and probably grew up with the UM-OSU rivalry. Maybe he wants to be a part of it. You would think someone out there would like the challenge of facing Urban Meyer in the greatest rivalry in sports.

10 in a row is rough

It makes me thankful we snapped our losing streak against OSU. Can you imagine if we had not won in 2011...

What if Mullen takes the

What if Mullen takes the Michigan job and then the Florida job opens next year. Anyone fear a Lane Kiffen(UT to USC) scenario?

They actually have a picture of Hoke wearing a headset.

Who's bright idea was to

Who's bright idea was to schedule Utah again. Every time we've played them it's been a tough match up. On top of that, playing a Thursday night game in Utah is never a good idea.

BYU game is a disaster waiting to happen. Another well coached team that has a mobile quarterback, what could go wrong?
