05/25/2018 - 3:34pm Quinn Hughes

I thought he already decided he was coming back regardless of where he was drafted, I could absolutely be wrong, I just felt like I read somewhere he planned to be in school a minimum of Two seasons.

05/22/2018 - 1:33pm Generally,

Generally, yes. They are usually right before summer.

05/18/2018 - 10:49am Very Broad and somewhat incorrect

There are High Schools all across the country that have very good Hockey Programs... Catholic Central in Michigan, Shattuck's, etc. I wouldn't say 'high school hockey is for all the lower level Travel and House Players'... it just depends on Region. The Northeast High School hockey is also very good. Obviously AAA is the top of the top you can play prior to Juniors. However, there is no 'select' route to go from one team to juniors. It's all about development.

05/16/2018 - 10:19pm Huh?

When did Gretzky pose any threat to the wings?

05/06/2018 - 6:18pm Will be*

The Jets will be a force for years to come.*

As long as Byfuglien is still in their Top-6, they’ll be good. Trouba, Morrissey, Myers are a SOLID set of Dmen to build around. Ehlers, Copp, Connor, Laine are some of the better younger [core of] players

05/03/2018 - 9:32pm So happy to hear.

So glad to hear this umbig11! When I read the title/description, my stomach went to my throat. So glad she’s had a successful surgery and on the road to recovery!

04/22/2018 - 11:00pm Really? Cmon. Where are Matt

Really? Cmon. Where are Matt Barkley and Jimmy Clausen? These were two “can’t miss” prospects no matter who their college coach was. What about Hackenberg? His career trajectory might have been the same, however, HIGHLY unlikely.

04/15/2018 - 11:58am Really?

I’m not so sure- an offense is DICTATED by its O-line... if they get good/consistent, they absolutely can be ‘scary good’

04/12/2018 - 2:40pm Sick!

Mike Legg was still a Wolverine in 2004??? I remember his nice goal in ‘96, never saw his ‘04 goal though!

04/08/2018 - 4:13pm Season ended.

EDM’s season is over- unless he’s playing with their AHL affiliate

04/08/2018 - 12:35pm Really?

You’re joking, or Trolling... hockey is more of a “sport” than anything. The players of that “sport”/activity sacrifice their lives/bodies to win the sport’s trophy.

If anything, the league has finally started to get stronger... when the Hawks of Chicago we’re winning the cup a few mere years ago, I may have agreed that the sport was “softening”, however, now the development of the league has finally strengthened itself. The only sport where you have true “Role players” that go out there not only to fight or “enforce”, however, HAVE to be reliable and accountable for their decisions. Tune into the playoffs on Wednesday and take a little looksie for yourself.

04/06/2018 - 12:25am 2018

Random thought:

2018:

Basketball- Runners up

Hockey: Top-4

Football....: ?

04/06/2018 - 12:24am Stop.

I’m pissed. It was a terrible break. But NO WAY in Hell am I regretting this. Top-2 in Basketball. Top-4 in Hockey. Things could be worse, we could be Spartans.

04/05/2018 - 11:42pm Fuck.

That is NOT good. Cmon Lavigne, you HAVE to have that.

Michigan is done if they let ND just throw the puck out continuously

04/05/2018 - 11:41pm Really?

If anything, it’s opposite. Bucci gets excited for ANY scoring chance, other wise he’s been pro UM. I like these two, honestly.

04/05/2018 - 11:40pm Idk

Bucci has been pro UM. I don’t mind the Commentary... semi-factual.

04/02/2018 - 7:12pm Charlotte, NC

Charlotte here. Party at Tavern on the Tracks! Go Blue!!!!!

04/02/2018 - 6:56pm I’m sorry to read that,

I’m sorry to read that, however, I am grateful that something such as this team was able to bring you together!

03/31/2018 - 4:27pm You only said it to be

You only said it to be negative. No one knows how this will play out... Ole Miss is doing their due diligence by not admitting any wrong doing. We are doing our due diligence by providing any/all material we can. Let it play out and let’s hope the powers that be get it right.

03/27/2018 - 7:38pm If he’s not practicing, he’s

If he’s not practicing, he’s going to fall behind, if [hypothetically] a QB does, in fact, transfer, he’s just done himself a huge disservice by not practicing. Just because he has the experience doesn’t mean he doesn’t need the practice. Tom Brady himself practices MORE than anyone else and that’s why he became an Elite player. His health could be the only factor we’re not considering, assuming he’s been cleared by more than just the doctors.

03/27/2018 - 5:50pm Yes

Yes

03/23/2018 - 9:24am I hope not.

I hope not.

03/19/2018 - 12:06pm 39* not 59.

39* not 59.

03/19/2018 - 12:06pm This guy loses all credibility

Houston was the better team for 59 minutes and some change... I’m sorry, were we not tied for most of that game? Were we all watching the same game as this guy? To claim we underperformed is one thing, to say Houston outplayed us for the entire game minus this miraculous shot is completely false. They played with us, and were a better team for nearly half the game, however, not the better team for 59+ minutes. If they were the better team for 99% of a game, they’d win that game.

03/10/2018 - 10:14pm What if

We’re the 1 in our bracket...?

03/10/2018 - 12:13pm There is.

They have a damn good club team.

02/22/2018 - 7:19pm What?

I’m sorry, what?

02/17/2018 - 4:06pm Kentucky?

Where is this “Kentucky” Connection? Are you comparing USNTDP to McDonald’s All Americans? That’s all I can deduce from your post. The USNTDP generally has bright kids. Going from Ann Arbor public schools to PCEP is either a wash or a slight upgrade, considering where these kids come from. Plymouth to Ann Arbor should definitely be a thing, however, there are a lot of MSU alum in this area, as well, which may “negatively recruit” UM as well. Here’s to hoping Billets put the young person’s life ahead of their fandom.

02/15/2018 - 9:18am He’ll be here a few years

He’s not going anywhere. You should look at his track record and realize this: he was with Saban for a few years, wanted to be a HC and took a shot with CSU, worked well. Florida needed an offensive identity and went all in on him. His teams were NOT bad at all- they weren’t great, but they weren’t bad. Let him focus solely on offense for 2-3 years, and someone will definitely take a shot with him just like Maryland did with Durkin. This may be our best offseason move yet, not named Shea Patterson.

02/01/2018 - 6:00pm Also- last decent QB

Also, who was the last decent QB we had, excluding Denard, Gardner should have been, however was ruined/“broken”. This staff should be allotted time. McCafferey is the first QB recruit we’ve had that stands out like the Mallett’s and the [high school] Forcier’s, that I remember. I watched Gardner in person and fell into the “Vince Young” hype, however didn’t WOW like the Mallett and [Tate] Forcier tapes did to me, anyway.

02/01/2018 - 5:56pm Might not even lose to PSU.

Defense made a mistake on the first play. And if memory serves me correct, we were down 0-14 when Hill/Long(?) picked off McSorley. With a drive there for a touchdown, so 70-80 yards, game is back to being competitive. I don’t think I truly thought the game was over until the start of the 4th.

02/01/2018 - 5:40pm Quit. Complaining.

Either be in or out, but get off the fence. 2017 was ALWAYS going to be the ‘dip’ in production. Always.

01/27/2018 - 1:59pm More of this.

Someone gets it.

01/27/2018 - 1:56pm Can we stop?

These threads are pointless. It’s not like we were terrible last year. Youth+injuries+1st year staff (Pep/Drevno/Harbaugh playcalling = 8-5. Did we make mistakes? Yes. Is this Michigan? Yes. Will we correct our mistakes? Yes.

For those that think Harbaugh can come in and win a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in year 3 are delusional. We compare to Urban and Saban like he needs to just jump in and create gold out of scrap. We saw instant impact with the hire with back-to-back 10-Win seasons, with pure DISMANTLING of teams (Rutgers, BYU/NU/UCF, Florida, etc.) let the talent develop and keep growing.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and Michigan won’t be either. Respect the process.

01/22/2018 - 6:40am ??

Brady isn’t retiring, he has a year or two left on his deal and he’s stated he wanted to play “5 more”. Given, 5 more is unlikely, I doubt 2017 was his final season.

01/21/2018 - 3:50pm No

Graham Glasgow - DET

Taylor Lewan - TEN

01/21/2018 - 10:54am OT?

OT?

01/19/2018 - 8:27am I'm with you

It's Academics first, Football second.

Our Great University has produced a SIGNIFICANT amount of contributors to the world than they have "Football Players". It's about being Great. Being a part of the Leaders and Best.

01/19/2018 - 8:20am also from the 'ville!

also from the 'ville!

01/19/2018 - 8:15am I get the 'results', however,

I get the 'results', however, has this kid watched a Michigan-Ohio State game in his lifetime? aside from 2015, these have all been fairly close games since Urban took over. Hopefully, this is a 'foot in mouth' moment for him.

01/11/2018 - 1:16pm These freshmen that played in

These freshmen that played in the NC game were 5-STAR BLUE CHIP PLAYERS.

Every 5-Star Blue Chip guy we have (spoiler alert: not many) have played under Harbaugh.

-Gary

-Solomon (borderline)

-Patterson

01/11/2018 - 8:54am We've gotten much better.

We've gotten much better. This defense is definitely better at 'containing' than the Lloyd Carr defenses of the mid-2000's.

01/09/2018 - 8:42pm Same.

It won’t take that long, but he’s got that time, hands down.

01/09/2018 - 1:43pm I’m all about UCF having a

I’m all about UCF having a case to get into the playoff... actually competing though? Let’s be real. They beat Auburn because Auburn wanted it less than UCF. UCF May have hung with Oklahoma for most of the game and lost towards the end, but, no way they stay on the field with Alabama or Georgia.

01/09/2018 - 9:46am Come on. Harbaugh has the "QB

Come on. Harbaugh has the "QB Whisperer" title because of ALL his stops, not JUST Luck. San Diego, turned that kid into an NFL pick, I believe. the first year at Stanford had some low-end prospect walk into the Coliseum and knock off a LOADED USC team. He had Luck for a few years. Let's give him a break and see that Peters has been a 'project/developmental' QB from his high school days.

01/09/2018 - 9:40am Enter Shea Patterson.

Enter Shea Patterson.

01/09/2018 - 9:38am We all know Saban didn't

We all know Saban didn't intend to change that QB for the game. It was going to be for a series to 'disrupt' the Georgia Defensive consistency... it just worked out where #13 made some game-changing plays that earned him another series and another.

01/09/2018 - 9:36am These are also mostly

These are also mostly "blue-chip" recruits. I like our Freshmen, however I don't think any were expected to be instant impact players other than DPJ. Correct me if I'm wrong, however I think the only true "Blue-Chip guys we've had since the 2007 season are as follows:

- Ryan Mallett ('07)

- Donovan Warren ('07)

- Derrick Green ('13) (???)

- Jabrill Peppers ('14)

- Rashan Gary ('16)

- Donovan Peoples-Jones ('17)

01/09/2018 - 9:22am Not True

Even though Michigan might not have the same Standards, as say Stanford, there is a 'Michigan Minimum' that is definitely above the NCAA minimum. If this were the case, we would have taken all 3 Ole Miss players, and notjust Shea Patterson.

01/09/2018 - 8:47am Although you're not wrong,

Although you're not wrong, this recruiting class is a 'Bridge' class. We had two really strong classes in '16 and '17. This class is mostly about finding pieces that fit certain "holes" we have-- FB, Secondary-depth, QB depth, etc..

Yeah, we haven't really landed any blue chip guys, but we've added a load of WR last year, a star QB who should develop nicely after his RS year of the HS-to-College transition (in terms of size)

I'd like to see where we stand after 2018 and 2019. Saban had an NFL "experience" and walked into Alabama already having won a national championship and Smart inherited a fairly stable UGA team. To take a team from 10-wins a year to where they are now is a step. Michigan wasn't at the 10-win area prior to Harbaugh. Continue the development, contine with our process, and as always, Go Blue.
