Don't forget 1-9 vs top 10…

Don't forget 1-9 vs top 10 teams since being here.  He will never be more than a 10 win coach who can't win a bowl game.  His history at SDSU and Stanford prove that.  It's time for him to go.  John Beilien evolved his the way he coaches, and has been to 2 national title games and won 2 big tourneys doing it.  I'm so sick of the sit and wait BS.  When do we stop getting laughed at and stop being outcoached, embarrassed and outscored 103-63 in 2 games???????

Has nothing to do with it,…

Has nothing to do with it, Ham.  You can have 11 5-star recruits on the field.  If you can't stop being stubborn on offense with your continued running up the middle every play it does nothing.  Harbaugh is the Marty Schottenheimer of the NCAA.  Good teams and not a pot to piss in to show for it.  It's time for him to go!!

@JTP; It's not just that. …

@JTP; It's not just that.  Continuously running up the middle and never running outside to stretch the defense doesn't do your offense any good either.  You keep a defense honest with the ability to run outside.  It opens up your play action and passing game and forces the defense to play 4 and 3 man fronts.  When you keep running up the middle you can fill 6,7 or 8 guys in the box.  His play calling is the most predictable since Emperor Palpatine foresaw the Rebel attack on the 2nd Death Star.  0-4 agains Brutus Buckey, 1-3 bowl record, 1-9 against top 10 teams since being HC here.  Time to go!  When is enough gonna be enough.  This is the University of Michigan football for Christ's sake, man!!!  We deserve better!!!

You might have a point. …

You might have a point.  However, Kelly has been to the playoffs twice.  Where have we been.  I'll tell you where; 103 points in the final two games.  How did continuous running up the middle and lack of offensive innovation work out?  I'll tell you how it worked out.  Two embarrassing losses in a row.  Hey Jimmy what's your offensive game plan for today?  Up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, up the middle, up the middle.  You have to run outside and stretch the defenses to keep them honest.  Most predictable offensive play calling on the planet is this pro style.  It's ancient.  So yes; 0-4 against Brutus, 1-4 bowl record, 1-9 record against top ten teams since being here in Ann Arbor.  So you need to come up with a more valid reason to keep him at this point.  And you can't find one.  Don't ever compare this guy to Saban.  He's not Saban and never will be.  His inability to be innovative offensively is disgusting.  Make all the excuses that our 3 best defensive players and best RB didn't play.  What did he do offensively to help out his defense?  NOTHING!!  HE NEEDS TO GO!!

Defense

True that Magnus.  But Houston and Florida State's defense rank nationally in the top 25 according to the link that I posted earlier.

Speaking of Defenses

Look where Loyola and Michigan rank nationally.  5th and 8th repsectively.  Duke is 32nd, Villanova further down than that, and Kansas even further down than that.  Now, does that mean one conference is more competitive than the other?  Possibly.  The ACC this season has about 4 teams, including North Carolina who play no defense at all.  Hence why A & M rightfully handed them their asses.  Kansas is more offensive oriented as is Duke this seaon, which is kind of suprising since both coaches are very defensive oriented.  Villanova I think plays as good a defense as anyone in the country, and probably equal to Michigan.  Gonna be a great Final Four.  Go Blue!!

Defensive Stats for 2018 season

https://www.oddsshark.com/ncaab/defensive-stats

Loyola-Chicago is 5th in the nation, and Michigan is 8th.  Villanova, Kansas, Duke aren't even in the top 20.  Not sure about the accuracy of this web site but I'm a little surprised because I think Villanova's defense is superb.

Good ball club

A & M has been a pretty good big 12 team all year.  I haven't seen much of them at all except the way they played yesterday.  Boy they looked good giving the Tar Heels that well deserved beat down.

Izzo

mGrowOld you are correct.  The only way Izzo is out is if the FBI tells MSU it's either him or the millions of dollars of federal funding.  This is going to get interesting.  Funny this topic is up.  Friday on ESPN Seth Greenburg told Stephen A. that in Arizona's case, it's not gonna be losing that gets Sean Miller tossed on his ass, it's gonna be the 3 letter boyz investigation.

Not to worry ijohnb.  I bleed maize and blue.

The theory

Basketball theory states never have your back to the ball because you can't see what's going on.  Well executed and complete choke job.  You can't coach a shot like that.  You can only hope it plays out and goes in.  Nevertheless Kelvin Sampson is a cheating bastard and how he is back in the NCAA as a head coach is unfathomable.

And Then...

LMFAO!!!!!  This kid is getting his ass PADDLED on Twitter

Officiating

Oh stop it.  Officiating was questionable all night at both ends.  Bottom line; don't go 0 for 2 at the charity stripe to close out the game, and how about make sure short little man bun is facing the baseball throw in.  The second is coaching, the first is just simply not pissing down both legs and leaving a puddle at your shoes.

It'l Logical

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^AGREED!!!!!     BOOM!!!!!^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

TrueBlue2003

Houston was a top ten team earlier in the season and finished in the top 25.  Very good ball club defensively.  Gotta make ur free throws.  Davis went 7 for 7 and then 1 of his final 4.  I call that pissing down both legs.  I think you could see the puddle at the charity stripe while Poole was running around after the buzzer beater.

Throw in

Not only did they not guard the throw in, but Rob Gray had his back to the play.  You face the thrower it probably gets intercepted or at least tipped.  Kelvin Sampson is dirty as the day is long.  He's way up there with Eddie Sutton, Joe B. Hall, Calipari and Pitino.  Got what he deserved.  Ruined Indiana's program.  Got what he deserved.

Gonzaga

I agree hailtothevictos08.  Zags are winners of 16 straight going back to the regular season.

ijohnb

How about this.  Sparty was over seeded and shouldn't have been a #3, or a basic home game in Detroit.  No one has done less with more than Izzo.  9 Final Fours and 1 title.  Says it all right there.  Izzo had no clue how to coach around that 2-3 zone.  Egg on the selection committee's faces with this seeding.

bluesalt

On paper Gonzaga is the better team in the West region.  However that doesn't always translate to game time.  But we should keep an eye open for them because although we're on a 11 game win streak, Gonzaga has now won 16 straight since the regular season.  And, I picked Michigan over Gonzaga in the Elite 8 game to win the West.  By far they are the 2 best teams in the west.  UNC was grossly over seeded and it showed.  How do you finish 6th in the ACC during the regular season, lose 10 games overall and get a #2 seed?  That's garbage and the selection committiee giving Roy Williams and the Heels special treatment.  Well they got special treatement yesterday.  Got their asses paddled, rinsed with white wash and paddled some more.  Nothing better that UNC, Duke or Sparty getting a well deserved ass paddling or well deserved loss in the tourney.

1986 Tourney

'86 was the 4;13 game of Cleveland St. defeating Bobby Knight and Indiana.  The final four that year was in Dallas I think.  It was Duke, Kansas, LSU and Louisville with Denny Crum and the Cards winning it all as the #7 seed over #1 Duke.  I think Kansas was also a #1 seed and LSU a #13.  Someone correct me if I am mistaken on this.

Bracket Chaos

Not only is it bracket chaos, but the NCAA tournament selection committee gets some egg on their faces too.  The UMBC Virginia game as historic as it is was also a one time fluke.  Against any other #1 seed that has point guards and can score at will, UMBC would lose. Virginia has no point guard play or any players that step up and want to be on the big stage.  As for over seeded Sparty, I was proven correct.  Had no business being a 3 seed, having a near home game for the first 2 rounds, or being in the top 5 in the polls or being #1 at any point in time.  Most over rated team representing the Big 10.  Can you imagine if Big Blue had been the #3 with a near home game in Detroit on the Jordan Poole buzzer beater?  OMG!!  Now that, would be chaotic.  North Carolina being a #2 was a joke as well.  You lose 10 games, finish 6th in the ACC during the regular season and your a #2 seed, then get your over seeded asses paddled to a hot blistering by 21 points.  Then there's Xavier and Cincinnati.  Talk about over seeded and over rated.  How do you piss away a 22 point lead in 11:05?  And how do you allow an underachieving Florida State team to beat you in the final seconds?  Yes it's March, and yes this is the NCAA tourney.  Loyola-Chicago, another example of having good guard play and good defense.   With that being said, on to playing the Aggies.  I still have 3 of my final four teams left; Michigan, Duke, Villanova with Michigan winning it all.  GO BLUE!!

BK-bloo You are right about the foul. I think the whistle blows if he misses. But, he didn't miss and that cheating POS Kelvin Sampson is going home.
Unbelievable After a shitty night of shooting by both teams, this is how it ends? Unbelievable!!!!! GO MOFO BLUE!!!!!
Kellog is a hack

Clark Kellog is the black Billy Packer.  Dumb, says stupid things and didn't have a pot to piss in for his college career.

Oklahoma blows

I agree Perkis.  How do you lose 11 of your last 14 regular season games and get in.  Then again Arizona State lost 8 of their last 11 conference games and still got in too.  I think both of them being ranked #1 early on helped them both get in.  Either way it's a travesty that they are in and 27-5 St. Mary's, who was in the AP top 25 all season got snubbed.

Sparty is grossly over rated

Sparty is grossly over rated and over seeded again.  They will choke like they have the past 2 seasons.  Sick of the tournament committee and ESPN licking Izzo's heiny all the time.

Blessing in disguise

So help me with this.  We get a #3 seed in the West.  Now follow along.  We beat Purdue in the Big 10 title game; paddled their asses for matter of fact and they got a #2 seed in the Midwest even though they didn't win the regular season or conference tournament titles.  Then you have over rated Sparty a #3 seed and basically a home game in the Midwest as well.  Sparty in the last 2 tournaments has been grossly over seeded.  I hope they both choke while Michigan breezes to the West Region title and a title game against Villanova.  Yes folks, Michigan vs Villanova for all the marbles.  GO BLUE!!
