06/29/2018 - 9:24am I also care-  this is…

I also care-  this is critically important for Michigan's success vs OSU because OSU since at least 2008 has consistently had players with higher recruiting rankings that Michigan.

06/14/2018 - 4:26pm Good points-  you don't want…

Good points-  you don't want to eat tons of protein because excess protein gets converted to glucose.

My allergies improved by 90% when I went Keto-  definitely helps with weight without worrying about dieting.

06/14/2018 - 4:02pm You may want to read this…

You may want to read this Time article that talks about what that documentary got wrong:  - http://time.com/4897133/vegan-netflix-what-the-health/

06/14/2018 - 3:58pm I have been on a ketogenic…

I have been on a ketogenic diet for the most part since 2000 and I think it is very  likely a superior way to eat if done correctly.    It's harder for women than men and if you are starting it for the first time you should google "keto flu" so that you are ready for the low energy feeling you will have after  a few days and how to deal with how your body feels as it switches from burning primarily carbs to burning fat for fuel.

The best book on it is Bulletproof Diet by Dave Asprey.  There are some good podcasts that cover keto diets on Bulletproof Radio, Fast Burning Man, and Livin La Vida Low-carb.

It's definitely good for losing weight and I think if it's done in a cyclical fashion it's better for your health in many ways.

Good luck

05/08/2018 - 1:42pm Yes- he was actually pushed out by Meyer for

Attending too many classes and putting himself in a position to graduate with a degree.

Meyer told him that if he wasn't serious enough about football to miss class and forego an education that he should play football elsewhere.

04/28/2018 - 7:12am Can you let me know your blood type and where you live?

Asking for a friend.

04/28/2018 - 7:10am Docs don't murder people?

Have you not read be book or seen the movie Coma by Michael Crighton?

04/15/2018 - 3:52pm I'm getting hungry

Capn crunch

04/15/2018 - 10:12am It seems there was a food problem

I've seen several quotes from players that the food being offered to them wasn't very tasty.  Players aren't trying to lean up to play Thor or Wolverine-    they should be eating tasty food that is a mix of carbs, fat, and protein.   It's pretty easy to make meals that taste good for athletes who are maintaining body fat and trying to gain weight.

People I know who've complained about eating regimens were eating more of a body builders diet-   eating every 2.5 hours and eating things like grilled chicken and white rice with no sauce or flavor.   It sounds like this kind of thing may have been what had been offered to the players under the previous trainer.

04/12/2018 - 10:07am I didn't think RR was a disaster hire at the time-

We'd been beaten by mobile quarterbacks at OSU so many times that I thought Michigan needed to go away from Carr statue quarterbacks.   I thought Tressel was Lloyd Carr but who was smart enough to recruit mobile quarterbacks.

I think what we found is that RR was horrible at fielding a good defense, didn't recruit well, had questionable values, and that his offense was kind of a gimmick.  If you look at his games here at Michigan he won games against bad teams and could barely score against good teams.

I'm not complaining about the OT thread but I'm about past caring about RR one way or another.

However, i would like to know if Brady Hoke is going to be the next Tennessee head coach    /s

04/11/2018 - 11:19am Brian Kelly is that you?

Kelly prefers Blizzard conditions and likes to use a shotgun formation with 49 pass attempts.

Like his predecessor he probably had a decided schematic advantage that he wanted to take advantage of!

04/11/2018 - 11:10am Good luck with that weather prediction- WIsh they would have

Cancelled last year's MSU game!!

04/04/2018 - 12:53pm Brunson led the entire Men's NCAA in Flopping

And probably would be tops in the NCAAW basketball as well!

04/04/2018 - 9:57am SImpson can only shut down the player he defends-

By shutting Brunson down they have 1 less person you need to worry about.

If we had a better defensive plan for Devincizio we may have been able to keep it close but unfortunately I don't think we expected that performance from him.

04/03/2018 - 8:27pm Similar thing happened to my nephew-

He attended a top private school but the NCAA didn't like the title of one of his math classes so he had to take a summer math class in order to be eligible to play division 1 lacrosse.

It's ok if SEC schools don't have students actually attend class or if they pay players, or apparently it's ok if a school such as MSU has a clear pattern of supporting sexual predators, no the NCAA wouldn't want to try to get involved.

But by God, if your team stretches too much or if your 4th math class doesn't match NCAA guidelines then the NCAA will use it's full powers against you!

If there has ever been an organisation that is more hypocritical I'd like to see it-

03/30/2018 - 10:53am Sadly- Don't really care on FB updates until the season

I'm sure the team will be better but I think I've reached the point where I'll wait and watch the results rather than worry or try to predict our football success.

I will say, Thank God for Beilein and basketball!!

03/25/2018 - 2:28am Vitriol for Nun

I think the vitriol comes from the excessive exposure the media is giving her.   I'm pretty tired of it personally and I kind of think that nun's and priests should put their focus on helping people rather than sports.

Similarly, I didn't care one bit about Rob Gray's (Man Bun) little brother but since TBS cut to him every 4 minutes during the broadcast I really wanted to see his full reaction after his brother's loss.

03/23/2018 - 4:30pm How can you be so precise?

It's almost like they have this thing that shows the score and when the game ends the winner and presumably better team is the one that has more of these points.

I believe that Houston's head coach may need help in understanding that this "scoreboard" exists!

03/23/2018 - 11:00am Not surprising HOKE uses caps-

I have a feeling Hoke Fat Fingers a lot of texts!

03/22/2018 - 6:42pm I'm here in Columbus, Ohio

Will be watching with my two 16 year old sons-   1 is a Michigan Fan the other is an OSU fan.

I told my OSU fan son that it will be good for him to see that a team CAN go further than the round of 32!

03/21/2018 - 5:06pm I think it was mostly that MAAR was off & that SImpson isn't a

Threat-

Sagging off Simpson made it harder for others to drive or drive and dish.

Rahkman missing 0-6 and some of them badly made him also a non-threat.  We can probably live with Simpson being a questionable threat but if 2 out of 5 can't shoot the three then it becomes pretty easy to play effective defense for the other team.

03/19/2018 - 3:28pm Scott Frost's Mom agrees

And Scott says that Houston outhit us!

03/08/2018 - 6:47pm Dang it, if we had just given him a little more time he

Could have completely killed the football program!

If toy r us was going to be saved- he was absolutely not the guy for the job.

However, I"m sure he improved their branding.  I think Toys r Us really started to go downhill once they wouldn't let you bring water bottles into the store.

03/08/2018 - 2:37pm Yes, I forgot the floor slapping which usually takes up about

a quarter of Michigan State's practice time.

I think Michigan has scored after every single Sparty floor slap!

03/08/2018 - 8:32am I've been dissappointed in Izzo's comments

I was very much hoping for more of a meltdown from him.  Unfortunately, his comments have been pretty reasonable.

I listened to his post-Michigan game presser and really the fact that he seemed genuinely angry that Matthews and Simpson made threes despite MSU's scouting that said that those two weren't good 3 point shooters.

My advice to Izzo is to have his players spend less time practicing their post dunk posturing and more time learning to shoot and play defense.

03/07/2018 - 4:20pm You should dog Jon Horford-

Dude had a high level of expectation versus his skills and effort.  I think he felt he should have been played more but I never saw the effort or results that would have justified it.

I think he had the physical skills to be much better than he was but just didn't develop at Michigan or post Michigan.

On the positive side, it is SO great having 2 good to great centers instead of seemingly trying to get by with a Horford or Donnel at Center.

03/07/2018 - 10:34am Some of the BAC level setting may be for Freedom-

Allowable blood alcohol levels in Iran, Saudia Arabia, Afghanistan, Yemen etc. are .00     Those are definitely places that I don't want to live and where human rights and freedoms are greatly restricted.

If we set the BAC super low you are then going to turn a lot more people into criminals which is typically the goal of a tyrannical state.

Do drug laws really helping our country or do they lead to tremendous levels of incarceration and crime that is unneccesary?

02/26/2018 - 10:41am Can he make his Free Throws?

Asking for a friend-

02/16/2018 - 4:29pm Possible but Highly Unlikely-

Assuming the other games are wins, here is what I have for probabilities:

ND  loss likelihood .4

Nebraska   .2

Maryland .15

Wisconsin .4

MSU  .35

Penn State  .5

OSU   .7

So, there is about a .1 % chance we lose to all 7 of these teams in 2018.

02/16/2018 - 3:48pm Well- if I'm a sexual offender playing at MSU seems like

a good fit.   Or if I like to get pulled over 9 times without a license, or if I like to punch women in the face in a bar.

MSU definitely has a specific type of football player that they seem to try to recruit and I think most schools don't want a lot of these players.

02/15/2018 - 4:36pm I'm sadly predicting this to be a bad hire-

It feels like Harbaugh is grasping at Straws on the offense.  Hope that Harbaugh shows us something this year.

02/09/2018 - 12:15pm Were you meaning palpable?

OR did you mean palable?

pal·a·ble

adjective
  1. 1.
The condition of being able to to be made friends with

  2. 2.
    Willing to be a pal

02/08/2018 - 5:30pm I don't care about Wisconsin's Foorball schedule- but

Not Happy that Michigan plays Wisconsin for 6 years straight while OSU has Nebraska for the same six year term.

Even if this picked opponent thing from the other conference was a good idea (which it is not)- wouldn't  you adjust it half way through when it was obvious that the team slated to play the top B10 East team is clearly garbage.

Nebraska's record 2015-2017

6-7

9-4

4-8

Wisconsin's record 2015-2017

10-3

11-3

13-1

IMO The Big10 intentionally gave Michigan the tougher and more proven program while giving OSU Nebraska.  Nebraska was good between 1962-2002, that that was a long time ago.  They went 9-4 every year under Pellini but were never great.

02/07/2018 - 2:52pm Meyer will be there awhile unless his results turn down-

With their recruiting this shouldn't happen but one can hope!

01/17/2018 - 12:04pm Uhm- we didn't challenge MSU this year- Michigan beat MSU!

And the team is getting better every week.   I'd prefer our team's chance of success in the NCAA tournament over MSU's.  Good PG play is critical in the tournament and MSU doesn't have it (at least according to Izzo!)  :  )

01/17/2018 - 11:36am I never understoon Donnal's ranking

From when I first watched him play for Michigan I never saw much potential.  The weird thing is that he didn't seem to get any stronger while at Michigan.   His recruitment was a huge miss that really hurt the program's success for two-three years.

01/16/2018 - 8:01pm It is a reflection of the University's leadership

If you read their President's comments and see how much coverup was done for him there is clearly more than just one bad actor.

My niece graduated from State a year ago and she said that it is widely known within the student body that Michigan State does not handle sexual assualt allegations properly.

01/09/2018 - 2:52pm We all Float Down Here

That is all

12/31/2017 - 6:37pm Really- happy OSU and MSU won? You are maybe more of a

Faux fan

12/31/2017 - 6:36pm Fuck the Big10 and the Big10's record-

Glad you were rooting for Ped State and for Molesting Doctor U-

I'd rather PSU and MSU lose very game forever- each school has such bad morals they deserve nothing but pain.

If Michigan wins great- but could care less what it means for the f'in Big10

12/31/2017 - 6:26pm The other Big10 teams hate Michigan- so I want them all to lose

Every game if possible.

Best thing in football I saw in 2017?   Baker Mayfield carving up OSU and then planting a flag in the O!   I was at that game and it was glorious.

The rest of you can root for the Purdue dirty playing who want to see our QBs insurance card before letting him have an x-ray or MSU who is known for 60 minutes of unneccessary roughness or Nebraska who intentionally stepped on Denard's arm causing him to not be able to throw for the rest of his college career.  The examples are endless, in general other Big 10 teams are  a bunch of douchebags who hate Michigan.   Northwestern may be the only exception and it is the only Big10 school other than Michigan that has any academic requirements for their football players.

12/31/2017 - 6:19pm Just only count interdivisional games in regard to winning the

division and it solves all of the problems of the weak/strong division in the Big10

12/31/2017 - 6:17pm May not have bothered OSU and MSU in 15 and 16

Personally, I'd rather not have MIchigan go to the playoffs if they are going to be held scoreless as MSU and OSU were in 15 and 16.

East / West division is a problem, 6 year matchup with one team from the other side is also a mistake.

Only interdivisional games should count for winning your division.  This would solve the huge range of opponent quality from cross-division games.  Manuel-  are you listening??

12/31/2017 - 6:05pm Financial advisor- at least the 1% of assets pricing model

Really don't make sense regardless of wealth/income.

If you need advice-  pay someone good an hourly fee-  it will be much less than paying a percentage of your assets.

Added bonus is that you don't have to worry about being Maddofed.

12/23/2017 - 11:15am Big Ten's treatment of Michigan football

Specifics include:

6 Year Wisconsin scheduling while OSU gets Nebraska for 6 years --  WTF!

2 Home games in a row versus Michigan State

Scheduling OSU fans as refs for Michigan at OSU in 2016

Refs never penalizing Meyer for being on the field

12/23/2017 - 11:12am Hate Buckeye JohnRoss

If he's an OSU fan, spend time there.  I don't need his shitty takes on things.

And yes, Michigan was cheated out of a win versus OSU last year by the refs.

Also, Dabo is correct-   Meyer is in the twilight/less effective stage of his career.  Lost two games with a 5th year senior and easily could have lost 4 games this year.

12/22/2017 - 8:31am Buckeyejonross- Please feel free to walk away

I can tell you are a reasonably smart guy.  Why you would hang out at a Michigan board I don't understand.

I will say though, one of my all time favorite football games that I've attended was the Oklahoma game this year.  Watching Baker dice up the Buckeyes and then run around and then attempt to plant his flag in the middle of the field was glorious.

Dabo is right, you should start preparing yourself for the impact of Meyer in the twilight of his career.

12/22/2017 - 8:26am It's not just the academics

Harbaugh is looking for a different personality.  He doesn't want a player who talks about "playing school"

He doesn't want a player who trades his yellow pants for tattoos

He doesn't want a player who looks to be the best running back as a freshman then tries to leave early for the draft and then commits armed robbery.

Urban (appropriate name)- is happy recruiting thugs, malcontents,  and players with a questionable moral compass.  This gives him the entire population of players to recruit.

Harbaugh cares about academics and is recruiting a different type of player.  He is looking for players that value education, that have a good work discipline, and who can learn.  The recruiting rankings for Michigan will probably always be a step back from OSUs.

12/21/2017 - 5:09pm I agree with Dabo-

Meyer's career trend is down.   His offensive scheme has been downloaded and proven to be very stoppable (see Michigan and Clemson in 2016, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Iowa! in 2017).

The Big Ten is getting more challenging.

OSU lost 2 games this year and could easily have lost 4 (Michigan and PSU).

I know we have a lot of pain from losing to OSU for the past 10 years but I feel really good about the long term outlook for Michigan.

12/13/2017 - 10:13am M rebounding was crazy good!

This is likely the best offensive and defensive rebounding game that I can remember, which is particularly great considering that Texas is a tall team with Bomba having height and crazily long arms.
