Don't think the OP meant for this to screw over the MDen or AAUM. But to appease the upset board members, I'll be sure not to use the code.

06/16/2018 - 8:07pm Wow. Dumpster fire in this…

Wow. Dumpster fire in this thread lol.

Personally, yeah I think it stinks to miss on recruits we have high on our board etc. But also, at the end of the process we are going to get who we are going to get. Some recruits we want, some that weren't as high on our board. And every year I'm going to continue to watch every game. And every year I'm going to hope we do well. And every year I'm going to continue to be a Michigan Wolverine because I can't imagine anything better. I felt that way all through the 90s and 00s, and I even felt that way through the Rich Rod/Brandon/Hoke eras. It won't ever change - it might be more difficult, but it doesnt change. Regardless of what recruits we get or don't get, regardless of who the coach is, regardless of our records, I'm still going to be there rooting and happy to support my team. It actually makes me happy to know that this university and it's sports programs don't bring me as much anguish and derail my life quite the same as they seem to with a select few on this board.

Yes, I'd love to see us go undefeated and win titles every year. Yes, it sucks to see OSU do it on a regular basis. But no, I'm not going to join in hating my school or coaches or students/athletes for winning "only" 8 or 9 games, or something to that effect. I'm going to continue to be a fan of this school and it's programs, and I'm going to continue to believe that the students and student-athletes that come here are making the best decision a young kid can make for themselves. There's nothing wrong with being competitive and upset about some of the off season stuff or our inability to find a suitable LT or something. But when complaining and and screaming about the sky falling is consuming most of your energy surrounding the program you "love" so much (and on a message board no less), are you really even a fan anymore?

06/10/2018 - 6:03pm I think under normal…

I think under normal circumstances, with years of proper OL recruitment and development, maybe you take only one. But I think in our current situation, and with our struggles on the edge, you make room for 2 top OT talents if they want in.

Pretty on par with my thoughts. Would spend quite a bit of time behind his brother and possibly others before a possible shot. Also. Has the opportunity to show up in Nebraska and be a part of Scott Frost's turnaround. Solid decision IMO

Turn in their man card? I would think dying your hair might be grounds for that as well. It was the first thing noticed too. And yes, I complain about nail polish, but not in the manner in which you suggest

05/06/2018 - 5:50pm Agreed. We have never gone

Agreed. We have never gone after Dobbs really, so I don't really view that as a miss. Sometimes a school doesn't fit with a prospect, such is the case here. I also agree that the videos were underwhelming for the Belleville kids. And Logan Brown going to Wisconsin may well be the best decision an offensive line prospect can make for their future. I'm really not understanding why some people are screaming the sky is falling...lets keep in mind we just replaced our OLine coach

04/29/2018 - 5:31am LOL this thread is

LOL this thread is substantially better than studying for my exams. Ragnow was a solid pick I suppose. I can see him being a plug and play guy and giving the line a nice boost. Aside from that I’m not as happy, or upset, as most people in here.

I’ll be interested to see how the draft picks play out. Hell, we may not even see some of them get a chance to play in Detroit. I do think they could have gone a little more defense heavy, but I clearly dont know what I’m talking about, so there’s that too..

Wouldn’t it be bizarre if you were actually a dick and the way he treated you was just a reflection of your own personality? I don’t personally know either of you, but so far, based on the little interaction I have had with you both, you seem to be the dick...weird huh?

04/20/2018 - 1:23pm Can’t he only do this once in

Can’t he only do this once in his college career tho? And he has 2 seasons of eligibility left? Idk too much about basketball and the transition from College to Pro ball, but seems to me that he has enough obvious areas that need work that this would almost be a waste...Clearly he has to improve his shot and take care of the ball more, and could do well to keep his head up when attacking the rim and look to dish more than simply putting his head down and committing to the drive. Can someone explain to me if I have this whole process incorrect?

I really wish i could catch more wrestling and was able to stay up to date on things like this. Where do you go for info on these recruits and how do you go about watching recruits wrestle, or even michigan for that matter?

Seems like a bit of bias in these selections, but im not bothered that we don't have anyone on the list. As others have said, we are a great team, with a bunch of good players. Surprised to see a handful of players listed here, but it is what it is.

Also agree that Mo should return as well as Matthews. Which means we need to ooen uo 2 roster spots.

03/03/2018 - 12:58pm that's awful to hear. I hope

that's awful to hear. I hope the best for him. He deserves everything he has coming his way, aside from the health issues of course. Hopefully it is just a small murmur that doesn't hold him back at all. Nothing more unfair than being a few weeks away from fulfilling your dream and finding out something like this.

Also, they are still ranking the players in comparison to the rest of the class. So, in that regard, the rankings still hold some weight. Does it really matter if the #1 player has a 99 or a 97 score? It’s all perspective anyway...The #1 player is better than the #2 player and so on. The scores are just used to numerically quantify and support the ranking system.

01/06/2018 - 11:15pm Maybe I missed it, but I

Maybe I missed it, but I don't think anyone was quite saying that they hope he doesn't play. I think the idea is more that, right now, he's in the mix with Rashan, who is by all means a DUDE, and Kemp, who has been striving for DUDE status since preseason per Don Brown, amongst others who are well ahead of him in S&C and have been here a year or more to learn schemes and rep. I think we all would rather he contribute early if he is I'm fact that good. Most are just trying to be realistic about the talent pool and longevity and how to shake things out. Also, if he is openly admitting he is close to 240, he's quite a ways away from being big enough to hold down the line. Therefore, he would benefit greatly from some nutrition and S&C to help fill out.

01/06/2018 - 11:07pm 6-6 260 would still be

6-6 260 would still be leaning toward the leaner aide of an anchor. As mentioned above, his position isn't pass rush dependent. It's better to look at it as an anchor position and not SDE, because they are slightly different in that regard. His job will be to cut off his 3rd of the field completely, setting the edge every down and turning everything back inside. Contain the play to the other 9 guys on your team first (strong side corner wouldn't be included, hence 9 not 10), get to the QB second. Gary is phenomenal at this which is why you see all the TFLs and sacks coming to people who aren't him. He isn't lighting up the stat sheet, but he is a black hole to anything coming his way. Occasionally this season we saw him get a little too far up field and you can see how that affects the defense's success.

01/06/2018 - 2:47pm Rough start. Beilein should

Rough start. Beilein should be done tooling with the lineup with Watson getting minutes etc. More Livers and Poole. Early fouls causing issues. We should spend the next few trips down the floor utilizing the dribble drive or pick and roll to get them into some foul trouble and slow the game down a bit
