I've lived in Austin for 10 years and have witnessed the re-birth of the Texas Longhorn football program first-hand. I have attended several games during this time, and walked away each and every time feeling disappointed. Even though the football is not as good, I would much rather attend a Texas A&M Aggie game because the fans are better.
One of the reasons the stadium looks so empty is the Texas tradition for fans to leave the stadium and head to the alumni club (outside the stadium) for beers during the game. During blowouts, they tend to watch the rest of the game on TV.
Fair enough. Just so you know, I was not the one that embedded "your content" - which interestingly enough taken entirely from music/images/video from some one else. I will talk to T9 about properly giving credit in the future, but she did link directly to your site. I have removed the entry so you are no longer offended.
Thanks for your input. It seems to me that you plug your blog on a pretty regular basis (like every time you post a message). I guess I never considered it a problem.
Just so we are clear, on the Diary section of this site it states: If you're posting links to stories, you should do that on the message board.
Not much variety from BTN on classic games so far.
They have been showing:
1) 2007 Michigan State game
2) 2008 Capital One Bowl beat down of Florida
3) 1997 Ohio State
4) '08 Purdue baseball and '08 Miami hockey
I was able to cap and seed the 1999 Wisconsin win (as TS linked above). Pizza Bob = awol42 on mgovideo.
They have also showed the 1999 home loss to Illinois. The 1991 Michigan State (Desmond Howard mugging) game is available "on-demand". I will keep my DVR set up to capture any new stuff they show.
Yes that Carr picture is great.
The lighting is fantastic on the one I saw.
That photographer knew his stuff.
For a change of pace, I am banking on the defense this year to win a couple of games by themselves. The increased speed and burst from the Barwis program with our top rated players should be fun to watch.
I have the MP4 version saved on my laptop -- and watch a couple of minutes when I am bored. One of the best games ever. Thanks MGoVideo for hosting it.

Thanks for posting this series, great memories.
I remember Carlitos well. He was a frequent vistor to Pizza Bob's & could put down some food. I'm glad to read that he is doing well.
I was in NROTC with Geoff Bissell ('84-'88). Great guy also.

In our world, the term "spawners" is a term of comradeship.
