It's hard to have a much more

It's hard to have a much more effective pass game than IU had against us. Even without a running game they could pass on us. I think teams that run more will give us a better chance to stop them, because we actually have a chance against the run.

A slant isn't as much of a

A slant isn't as much of a risk as a blitz though. In a slant the the DL and LBs can just trade gap responsibilities, while in a blitz someone is vacating an area to rush the quarterback. If we slant our whole DL to one direction then we might be screwing ouselves, but if we slant our end to the B gap and have an LB take contain then it just throws off the tackle trying to block the end, and there is still someone in the B gap and someone for contain.

No, because the Coner never

No, because the Coner never would have gotten real playing time. We're one injury away (knock on wood) from him possibly starting again.

I attend Baylor University,

I attend Baylor University, and Robert Griffin is fast, but not as fast as Denard. He tore his ACL last year against Northwestern St, and in their first game this year he had a 30 yard TD run against Sam Houston St. where he didn't look as explosive as he once did.

He enrolled early at Balyor and as a 17 year old and in his first semester on the track team won the 400 hurdles at Nationals and made it to the semi finals in the Olympic trials.

He may have been as fast as Denard his freshman year, but this year he looks like he may have lost a step.

I'm going for ND to win so

I'm going for ND to win so MSU gets an early loss and it makes our win look better.

I had a double rainbow moment

I had a double rainbow moment when I was watching the Omameh block on Denard's long TD. Ohhhhhhh, so beautiful! I kept watching it over and over again.

By putting Moundros at Ezeh's

By putting Moundros at Ezeh's spot Rich Rod is directly challenging Ezeh. Either Ezeh will step up and play better than he would have otherwise, or if Moundros is better he will play. Either way the positiion will be improved from last season.

Omameh's comments from

Omameh's comments from yesterday's presser made me even more excited about this year's offensive line. Molk is back, and with Schilling and Omameh the guard positions we have a very good inside 3. Omameh commented on how much better it is to play guard with Molk at center.

At the tackle positions we have up and coming Lewan and LT, and then a competition at RT, which means that whoever wins the starting job will have to be sharp. Our offensive line was good last year before Molk got injured, and now we have one more year of experience and Barwis training, plus Molk is back and more competition for positions. It's going to be a good year up front.

Maybe Brian changed things up

Maybe Brian changed things up to distract us from Justin Turner, NCAA meetings in Seattle, and endless speculation. He just couldn't take 3 more weeks of it, so he made some changes knowing we would all talk about that, and then he'll change it back closer to the UConn game.

We still get one point for

We still get one point for posting, right? Someone else suggested that we did, so I guess this really is a test post.

The return of Molk! Center is

The return of Molk! Center is such an important position, and to have such a great player there should greatly improve our offense from the 2nd half of last season.

I think you're right on about

I think you're right on about the importance of Molk. Seems that many people underestimate the importance of a good center, and Molk is a great center. Looking forward to good things from the O-line in 2010.

Scoring lots of runs on

Scoring lots of runs on Liriano early in our last two starts against him is impressive, especially the way he's pitched against us historically. Makes me wonder if one the Tiger's scouts found something about him that is helping the Tiger's tee off.

Yahoo sports says that he has

Yahoo sports says that he has rented out party cabanas on Miami beach, which means he's throwing a party in Miami which means he's probably going to Miami.

Obviously American athletes

Obviously American athletes as they are might not excel at soccer, but the argument seems to imply that if Americans cared more about soccer we would excel at it not because we are inherently better than everyone else, but because our children have the nurtition, free time, equipment, coaching, and talent pool to become better at sports than most countries.
